Plymouth 2 (Hodges 48, 83)
Southampton 5 (Wright-Phillips 3, 43, 47, 49, Skacel 33)

The Saints stay top then (Someone needs to break Wright-Phillips' leg or no-one else will get a look in!)

Bradley must have swapped places with Shaun - even though Shaun is a winger not a forward :?

The new league table is up (or, at least, will be up as soon as Imageshack stops being a pain in the bottom)

You might notice something different about it, this is because now I am using a program to auto-generate the league table, which also gives me some stats:

In 32 games we have had 184 goals for a rate of 5.8 goals per game.

Not only that... it's Tom vs. Sols at the Meadow (or Gay Meadow as they were using then...)

Bognor Regis 1 (Graham 67(p))
Everton 6 (Johnson 3, 31, 47, Cahill 68, 84, Arteta 80, Lescott Sent Off 67)

Ipswich 1 (Noble 49)
Wolves 4 (Potter 47, Borgetti 55, 90+1, Bothroyd 90)

Manchester United 3 (O'Shea 8, Smith 28, 64, Rooney Sent Off 57, Richardson Sent Off 80)
Crystal Palace 1 (Morrison 67(p))

Nott'm Forest 3 (Southall 2(p), 57(p), Gardner 46, Breckin Sent Off 89)
Tottenham 9 (Jenas 9, 27, 43, Keane 16, 54, Gardner 24, Murphy 48, 89(p), Berbatov 85)

QPR 2 (Donnelly 15, Czerkas 37)
Liverpool 7 (Kuyt 16, 57, 63, Pennant 20, 39, Riise 33, Gonzalez 44)

Shrewsbury 2 (Cooke 28(p), Drummond 37, Hall Sent Off 3, Herd Sent Off 76
Brighton 12 (Christie 1, 75, 81, 85, Stokes 3(p), 7(p), 16(p), Robinson 30, 89, 90, Carpenter 76, Hammond 90+1)
That's not a typo, Stokes actually scored a hat-trick of penalties.

Southampton 3 (Bale 39, 56, Viafara 79)
Newcastle 2 (Emre 43, Milner 84)

Sunderland 1 (Elliott 30)
Plymouth 0

What a shock on the South Coast! Unfortunately for the Saints, Spurs go top on goal difference, and, as a result of Shrewsbury's abysmal play, they go bottom.

LATER TODAY: The draw for the first round of the Cup, which will take place two weeks today.

THE CUP

Teams are divided into two pots, the best eight in Pot 1, the rest in Pot 2.

Pot 1 and Pot 2 play as seperate tournaments.

The winner of Pot 1 and the winner of Pot 2 will meet in a Final.

THE DRAW

Pot 1
Southampton vs Everton
Newcastle vs Sunderland
Palace vs Liverpool
Tottenham vs Man Utd

So... Newcastle vs Sunderland... Bearing in mind that Round One takes place the week after the Tyne-Wear derby...

Pot 2
Bognor Regis vs Nott'm Forest (so it's sooner than you think, Divvy, P5)
Brighton vs Shrewsbury (Revenge for the Shrews? I didn't think so either.)
Wolves vs Plymouth
Ipswich vs QPR

MOUTH-WATERING Tyne-Side derby!!! First round too!

The way the tournament is, reminds me of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy where the winners of the North and South region then play against each other in the Final.

Oh...and Regis are going down! ;) (Watch it get rigged now! )

20 Oct: Newcastle vs. Sunderland, DOND League, St. James' Park
27 Oct: Newcastle vs. Sunderland, DOND Cup, Pot 1, St James' Park

I feel sorry for Darren Ward (as we had then). He'll probably get frozen in place, standing doing nothing in Tyneside for 180 minutes in eight days, watching all of the goals go in at the other end.

Regis are not going down as there is no relegation system. Yet.

Crystal Palace vs. Nott'm Forest (Sunday)
Everton vs. QPR
Ipswich vs. Man Utd (17.00)
Liverpool vs. Southampton
Newcastle vs. Sunderland (Friday)
Plymouth vs. Shrewsbury
Tottenham vs. Bognor Regis (12.15)
Wolves vs. Brighton

A note on the Cup: It's a break from the League programme. The First Round will take place next week, the Second Round on the 3rd November and so on up to the Final on the 17th November.

Are you sure you've got the right sport here? These look more like rugby scores, not to mention the amount of penalties!

Yes I have, and the penalties are correct (I think there were a few missed ones too). It's mainly because of Shrewsbury/Spurs dirty play though...

I think we'll beat Bognor 17-3. Two converted tries and a drop goal...
