Lunch for $2.46 ? Where do you eat, Ben? If I go out for lunch, it costs me $5.80.

Dan, that's a good offer there. Acceptee ou refusee?

I went to Wendy's and ordered a crispy chicken sandwich with cheese ($1.29), a chili cheese fries ($2.79) and a value sizes drink ($0.99). I had a coupon for a free chill cheese fries with any purchase and I used it. After the 7.75% NC sales tax, my total was $2.46.

Holy boats, they don't call you the American Coupon Boy for nothing. At Gino's Pizza, a slice of pizza and a bottle of Jones Soda totals $5.80, after the penny rounding. We retired the penny here in Canada in 2012, so prices are either rounded up or down based on what the terminal digit is.

I don't know what the sales tax is here in Ontario, but I do know that there most definitely is one.

Right, back to the game now. Dan, you've been offered just a shade under 15 grand. Acceptee ou refusee?

Ah, that's interesting. A hot chocolate and caramel shortbread at my local Costa is £4.65 alone, although my nearest carvery prices its meals at around the £5.50 mark. :smt023

Anyhow, the game. This is a good offer, but the one box to open next is tempting me on here.

Rational thinking must prevail, however. ACCEPTEE! :D

I'd have had the lowest-numbered case next, please.

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

Well, if there's one thing we all learned during this game, it's that the Banker beats us all when it comes to cheap eats.

Anyway, $14,997.54 is secured. But was there more money available in this game? Time to find out.

Proveout

You'd have only had to open one case in the next round, and since you said the lowest-numbered case, let's go to number 1.

[1] - $50,000 :D

Ben, what would you have offered on a $500/$15,000 final two?

I might have offered $5,000 there, but then again, I'm not the Banker.

And now, for the moment of truth. Dan, did you just score a spanking, or were you just $2.46 away from getting a draw? Let's open the final two cases.

[3] - $500
[15] - $15,000

Well, it's a victory for Ben this time around, but an extremely narrow one. Hey, what's $2.46 between friends ;)?

With the main game now complete, it's time to bring on the Supercase, a first for a North American incarnation of Deal or No Deal. Ii you've seen how Box 23 works on the UK version, you'll have a pretty good idea of how the Supercase works. Inside could be one of the following:

MY$TERY MONEY
DOUBLE
REFUND

HALF
QUARTER
NOTHING

My$tery Money is a variable amount between $2,000 and $10,000 in increments of $500, while Refund is the same as Money Back. The rest are self-explanatory.

Dan, would you like to hand back your winnings and open the Supercase? Acceptee ou refusee?

Hmm...did alright. Dealt the highest offer, so I'm happy with that. Well-played, Benjamino. :smt023

I'll say REFUSEE to the Supercase, thanks. If you'd like a number, I'll go for 2. :)

With option 2 as your choice, let's reveal what was in the Supercase.

1. NOTHING
2. REFUND
3. DOUBLE
4. QUARTER
5. HALF
6. MY$TERY MONEY

Dan, you leave us today with $14,997.54, and our thanks. Enjoy the money :smt023.

Ben, thanks for being our guest Banker. You did wonderfully :smt023.

That's all the time we have for Le Banquier Express. Join us next time for more fun and excitement. Until then, this is Mark David saying merci, et bonne journee :).

My$tery Money would've been worth $4,000.
