The devisor vs the Banker. Can crazyeddie win at his own game?

He has Box 8...

7 - £1. That's a great way to start.
11 - £3,000. Alright.
15 - £750. Promising...
3 - 1p! Very promising!
14 - 10p! What a brilliant start!

The Banker is stunned - he can't believe how good that round was... he thinks he's in for one heck of a game...

Banker's offer:

£12,000

That's a good opening offer. I'm here to play the game, so no deal.

9, 10 and 4!

9... £50! This gets better with every box!
10... £100! This is incredible!
4... 50p!! What a board!!

The Banker says that you are indeed here to play the game, and you've played one part of the game... now it's time to play another part by saying something other than No Deal

Banker's offer:

£22,000

Now that is an offer I'm thinking about... my thoughts are, the board is strong, and it could become even stronger. That said, that is a good amount of money.

The question is, whether to pivot? I'm happy to pivot with 9 of the 14 amounts in play, but the other 5 are quite low.

The odds are low on the game falling apart here, I think I can take it further. I understand the reds are going to be hit, but there's a lot of opportunity here. Perhaps to his chagrin, no deal.

13, 20 and 5!

The Banker phones back to say he thinks you are, in fact, playing this new game in an old-fashioned way by summarily rejecting the first two offers!

We'll be back with the next three boxes after the break. (I'm on another PC right now but going back home! :D)

13... £50,000! That's a dose of reality.
20... £1,000! If this is a blue...
5... £15,000. It's not, but it's a round we can afford to have after that start.

The Banker knew you wouldn't go at the first good offer... £12,000 was the first good offer!

Banker's offer:

£26,000

Again, another good offer. I knew I'd take a hit with the reds, a bit of a mixed round as no blues taken out, at the same time the top 3's intact.

It's an easier decision than last time, as it's a bit harder to pivot, and not quite there to deal, so no deal.

12, 16 and 18!

12 - £35,000. Still the top three there...
16 - £75,000! Oh no they're not!
18 - £10! Relief!

Eight-box...

£5
£250
£500

£5,000
£10,000
£20,000
£100,000
£250,000

The Banker is convinced this'll do it...

Banker's offer:

£28,000

Oooooooooh... I see how easy it is for players to give too much away now.

Should I deal here? It's a bit more precarious, but I could pivot. Shame I didn't earlier, but that's hindsight, and I would have no dealt even if I could turn time back.

I could take it one more. But... the pivot is tempting. In fact, I think I will... pivot! :-D

And sure enough, £28,000 is your pivot amount - you've got some insurance against some big hits now, but we want a big number in your box... we'll play on...

(With the original rules, yes?)

Yep, but it doesn't have to be rigid, all depends what happens next!

(Thanks, NoelsFan, hope it works!)

... oh yeah, the numbers! Hold on a sec...

17, 19 and 1!

I think you have made a good decision!

Offer board:

£7,500
£8,000
£8,000

£14,000
£17,000
£23,000
£55,000
£100,000

So the odds are you have at least £14,000!

That's a great way of looking at things. The average there is about £29,000, so I'm in profit, but may be taking un-necessary risk, so may have to no deal some of them.
