The American versions seem to have escaped, maybe Endemol don't employ the same kind of jobsworth legal staff over there?

Free games are doing nobody any harm and even help to promote the show I'm sure. And if their own version does offer big prizes I'm sure they will get lots of people playing anyway.

Quote from the aforementioned Do's and Don't's section:

"Do Not – never, never, never give out any personal information about yourself!"

Surely a double negative there?!?

I have decided to release the source code to my game in the hopes development continues. It is written in VB.net, developed with Visual Studio 2005 Express Edition and well commented throughout :)

Endemol do not have any rights over the source, the images have all been created by myself (*.psd's are avaliable in the download), and sounds were in the public domain on many of the sound effect sites on the net.

If someone can host the zip for me (853KB), please e-mail me at jarnie@gmail.com. Thank you.

Unless for some reason Endemol can force the source to be removed (but I don't see how?). As far as I am aware I have full rights to the source as it is all my own work, and I give permission for it to be distributed...I still can't distribute a compiled exe, but VS2005 EE is avaliable for free download from Microsoft, so you can compile it yourself.

Would be very interested to take a look at your work mate. My game was created in VB6, so it would be cool to view someone else's take on it, VB minded :)

Feel free to modify and redistribute the source, but please credit me where appropriate. Also, you are forbidden from selling either the source, a compiled version of it, or any derivative works from it.

Visual Basic 2005 EE (obviously if you have better that should work, and the complete Visual Studio includes support for all).

DavidF1 - what error did it give you?
