Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

I would Deal, theres a 3 in 5 chance of taking out one of the big 2 and you might not see that sort of money again.

I would no deal, because as soon as you take the £1,000 out, you're guaranteed £35,000 which wouldn't make me upset if I lost £77,000 for £35,000.

Ooh....I might be tempted to No Deal there. As wakey says, the chance of getting rid of the £1k and being guaranteed what to me is a huge amount of money might make it worth going for it. Not sure though.

No deal - the worst case scenario is £35k/£1k, which should still be a 5-figure offer - about £15/16k on the game, £13k in real life (I think Simon's the only person to have had that finish).

A relative disaster, yes, but it;s impossible to go with peanuts!

however a £76,000 drop if you win £1k is a relatively big one!

I wouldn't win £1k though, as I'd deal any non-insulting offer on a £35k/£1k finish! :)

Hmm... let's see...

10% chance of £170k (£100k/£250k)
20% chance of... £120k? (£35k/£250k and £50k/£250k)
...20% chance of £70k (£1k/£250k and £50k/£100k)
10% chance of £60k (£35k/£100k)
10% chance of £30k (£1k/£100k - and looking at Barbara's game that's generous!)
10% chance of £42k (£35k/£50k)
10% chance of £15-20k (£1k/£50k)
10% chance of £10-15k (£1k/£35k)

10% of £170k is £17k, 20% of £120k is £24k, and continuing with that...

...I'd value that board at £71,200. Deal, then.

ok, i'll compare your offers to the realistic in-online game offers:

1)in that scenario about £162-£174,000.So you were about £4k out.
2) No.ive had the £5k/£250k scenario beforew and the offer was £135,000.£50k/£250k scenario ive also had, and the offer was £143,000.
3)I had the £1k/£250k final pair and the offer was £114,000.And you're almost right on the £50k/£100k.My offer in that position was £72k.
4)£60k????No.£60-£66k i think there.
5)£30k with £1kvs£100k??? no, your looking at about £44-£49k there.
6)£42k? I agree! :-D
7) not £15-£20k, probably about £23-£26k in that position, it varies
8)thats surprisingly low.i'd offer about £16-£19k for 1k/£35k.

and i cant be bothered to work out anything else lol :-D

But not big enough for me to say 'I wish I dealt'. Looking at these finishes:

£1,000/£35,000 - About £16,000
£1,000/£50,000 or £100,000 - About £24,000
£1,000/£250,000 - about £69,000

£35,000/£50,000 - About £41,000
£35,000/£100,000 - About £69,000
£35,000/£250,000 - About £110,000

£50,000/100,000 - About £70,000

£100,000/£250,000 - About £170,000

So (16k+24k*2+69k+41k+69k+110k+70k+170k/9) = £65,888 which means £77,000 is ridiculously high. On the real show, you probably would get something like £60,000 (Considering Brenda's final five never had £1,000, and she also had £75,000, and she got £84,000. Plus, her 84k was a proveout offer.)

EDIT - Sorry KP, I had the reply page up while I was out shopping, so I never knew you posted this as well.

Daniel: I was thinking real-world offers. The dilan4 offers are near enough the mean at the final two and if the real-world offers were the same I would No Deal. (Though having thought about it again I'm not sure I would even then... wouldn't take much less to tempt me, though.)

Wakey: wow. You should have divided by ten though, and you missed £50k/£250k - though accounting for that, the valuation would still have come to around £71,000 as mine did. Also £69,000 on £35k/£100k is above the mean though (mean there is £67,500), but I guess it would be a reasonable proveout offer if Michaela were playing!

One other thing. If the offer is supposedly ridiculously high - would that mean you'd take it?

Ah, of course.

But wasn't Gentleman James offered £69,000 when he had that final?

And I would have said £86,000-£100,000 would get me out of the chair with that board, but there is no chance the bank would offer me that anyway.

You never know...look at Khanny's game! You just have to make sure the Banker's heard your reputation if you ever do get on the show... ;)

(Gentleman James's offer would have been £64k, I think.)
