It was great to see the likes of Jimmy Saville, Tony Blackburn, and Dave Lee Travis on the final Top of The Pops last night, but it was disappointing that Noel wasn't there. He presented TOTP on many occasions!

I understand "Top of The Pops" had been on for a really long time? Shame it had to end.

I think we had a simular show here called "American Bandstand".

42 years it ran for, there can't be many programmes in the world can match that!

I guess it will still live on in overseas versions (I think it's only in the last few years they have sold the format abroad) and possibly the Christmas special. And sure there will be a revival one day in the future!

One final thought, the introduction to each show used to go "It's still number one..." Now it's finished, what's "number one" now?

It was quite emotive. presenters from different eras were there which was nice and with the mic of the time!!!). Its a shame that it has gone, ironic that it had really good ratings on the last show as well.

I'm sad to see it go...

Me and all. End of an era really

I watched the last one, and though it was touching that Jimmy turned the studio lights out at the end.
I havent wtached it for an age, but loved it in the 80'and early 90's. Another institution lost in my life time

Its very sad to hear TOTP has gone to that great TV in the sky.

I havent watched it for about 3 years but caught a glimpse of Fearne and Reggie and I thought they done a good job.
