I've had it my whole life and I'm *beep* sick of it, I'm telling you. I work part-time as a tennis coach and the club is like, I swear, hayfever central. A pollen party, if you will. The worst is the mouth itching - the eyes and the sneezing I can just about cope with. But the mouth...I mean, what are you supposed to do, you can't exactly scratch the roof of your mouth, can you?

Remedies really annoy me as well - Zirtek claims to be 24 hours but it's never lasted me longer than 12 and Piriton knocks me out. The only one I'd recommend to anyone is Benadryl - I took that at the weekend when I was suffering really badly and within 15 mins it had kicked in proper.

I'm sorry. Nobody wants to know this, I know. It just bothers me.

I had to take piriton syrup today cos I forgot to take anything and it was all the school nurse had, and I fell asleep in my exam! Admittedly this happened in German last year when I wasn't under the influence of drugs but still...

It seemed very high today, I couldn't stop sneezing. I don't mind that too much, it's the itchy eyes and my blocked up nose which is pissing me off.

So I have to sleep with my mouth open and I wake up with a dry mouth and lips. My lips are cracked up atm. Bring on the Winter! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I couldn't agree more, Nick. I don't suffer with hayfever, but I'm a summer-hater. Give me winter any time! The heat makes my insomnia worse, it makes my appetite vanish and I get all moody and snappy. I'd rather be too cold than too hot; oh yes- the winter rules supreme!

:-D

My hands are tired from RUBBING MY ***ING EYES ALL DAY.

My mum's confiscated the piriton syrup. She gets some sadistic pleasure out of me being forced to take zirtek and wait 24 ***ing hours before my next fix.

AAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!

Hey everyone.

I did suffer from really bad hayfever, the same symptons as you lot have and it drove me crazy. I tried all the advertised crap and some perscribed tablets but nothing worked. About two summers ago the doctor perscribed me new tablets - NeoClarityn - and they worked a treat. Now that's all I ever take and they are still working. You only have to take one a day and although I get a runny nose when I wake up, I take a tablet and it works within the hour. That's me for the rest of the day and during the night - there's no blocked nose, dry mouth or having to go to bed with a bunch of tissues! It really does work for the whole 24hours.

I've recommended this to loads of people and it has worked for the majority of them, but a couple of people find it doesn't as well for them. Seriously guys, this is probably the most sensible thing I'll ever say on this site! I really, really recommend this stuff.
