Does anyone else feel blackmailed by Thames Water?

Have you paid your ridiculous high water bill for the year only to be told your supply is limited?

I live with my 8 year old daughter and we use very little water as we shower, do two loads of washing a week, no dishwasher and no swimming pool!! But............ I don't get anyone reprieve with my bill?

It's blackmailing isn't it! And there's no way out, we have no other company we can use.

Why aren't the government taking Thames Water to task on this?

It's a complete shambles, for want of a better more descriptive word?!?

I dunno how they DARE restrict use of water, with all the frigging rain we've had recently.

NOW IF they wree to ask ME what the answer to the water shortage is, well, it's so damn SIMPLE, they can't even work it out for themselves!!!!!

OK we start out with X number of houses and X amount of water in storage. OK

Some builder decides to use an empty space to build XX amount of houses

Another builder decides to build XXX amount of houses.

AHEM!!! EXCUSE ME!!! But is ANYONE gonna build a couple more reservoirs, to keep up with the demand for water from these new houses???

When did YOU last see work being done on building water storage areas?? And WHEN did you last see housing estates, or business parks being built???

CHRIST even kids in PRIMARY could work THAT ONE out, for Gods sakes.

Spot on there Avie.

I am appalled at the lack of response from the Government or any influential bodies fighting to see companies like Thames Water penalised if they're not supplying what has been paid for.

It's like paying for a weeks shopping but leaving it all in Asda?
