I was reading a book on coincidences recently. In it was many strange ones that made my hair stand up.

The one I really liked was about a man who stood next to someone at a football match in 1959, and after chatting, subsequently found out that he was the same age, had the same name first name, middle name, and surname and was born on the same day of the same month, in the same year.

About 30 years later, the first man was on a business trip to New Delhi and got an internal flight to an obscure Indian town south of the Capital. On his return to New Delhi he was checked on to the plane and sat down. He was reading his paper when the gentleman next to him said, "I think I recognise, you don't I?" At which point they discovered that it was they who met at that football match in 1959.... Spooky!!

Does anyone else know of any strange coincidences that have either happened to someone they know, or to them even, with astronomical odds?

Would be great to hear some.
