Firstly thanks to all those who wished me a Happy Birthday.

Brendan & I have just arrived back and I was wondering if this was a record for the number of rides we went on in one day:

Nemesis - 8 (it would have been 10 but a woman fainted & an ambulance was needed!)
Oblivion - 5
Submission - 4
Enterprise - 3
Runaway Train - 2
The Blade - 2
Hex - 1
The Rapids - 1
Pinball - 1
Rita Queen Of Speed - 1

Total - 28

I have never been on Rita prior to today and all I can say if you love "danger & speed" then the Rita's the ride for you!

We would have loved to have gone back on Rita but alas the ride was broken!

What an amazing day we''ve both had & we must have walked miles as the Skyride wasn't running.

Drinkie time me thinx!

Caz
:D

Fantastic to hear, Cazza!

Alton Towers was the place where I got rid of my fear of big rides - and I've wanted to go back so many times but alas no-one is free at the same time as me!

As for Rita, it broke down when I was there too; I think it just needs a maintained level of maintenance lol!

Seriously, so glad you had a great day! And now we have to start planning for Billy's and Maud's!

Hi Gracie thanks for your birthday comments.

We had the most amazing day at Alton Towers

Rita was fab except I've now got a brusied arm and Brendan's got sore shoulders.

It was amazing though the acceleration was incredible and the rest of the ride was just as brilliant! :D

Luckily we don't live too far away so we are hoping to go back next Marchif not before :)

You're welcome Cazza!!
Sorry it's a bit late!

Alton Towers is a brilliant day out, especially when the weather is good which I think it has been today? I don't live too far away but technically it could have been awful there!! hehe.

How were the queues?
I love it when it's empty! :P

Don't worry Gracie

The weather was fab - not too hot and not too cold

There were basically no queues other than for Air and Pinball which was fab :)

U would have loved it there today not queueing! :D

:)

Oooo awesome.
Sounds like you had a mint day!!
It's awful sometimes when it's dead hot and busy....haha.
I'm a bit picky :s

Ahhh no queues!! So jealous!! hehe.

I can't remember going on Pinball....

Air always has the biggest queue!! It's a fun ride but it doesn't go fast enough, lol.

I'll have go to next summer or something, or sneak a day off school so I can miss the queues!! haha

Yeah Air is ace, it's something different as well.

Nemesis and Oblivion are my favourites too.
Nemesis is like a proper rollercoaster...and Oblivion, haha, it scares me everytime I go on but my Dad makes sure I don't hold on!!

I'm not suggesting you sneak a day off school but it may well be a good idea if you want to avoid the queues

As for not holding on on Oblivion well you're braver than us 2 as that is the one ride I don't let go off lol

I do finish at 11am on Wednesdays so that could be a possibility! hehe.

Haha!! My Dad's a proper thrill seeker so he bascially makes me. I do love roller coasters though, I want to go to an America theme park sometime, their coasters are immense!

Go for it Gracie lol

Have been to the US once before but I didn't go on any the of the Coasters.

We're hoping to go back next year and we will somehow hopefully manage to fit in a coaster or 2 :)

I wanna go on the coasters on the top of the Stratosphere hotel in Vegas - they are amazing ;)

I definitely shall consider it!! Hopefully next week I'll be able to drive myself there!! hehe.

I went to Disnleyland and they had a few good coasters there, the Rock'n'Roll-a-coaster was sooo ace!! It was like Rita, dead fast at the beginning and with loads of loops!

That's the one I want to go on as well!!! That looks sooo incredible, they have like the one that shoots up which is right at the top and then there's the one that goes round the edge at the top. (if i'm right! hehe)

Sounds good Cazza :)

Regarding the Stratosphere, I was there in July, and I recorded a short-video of one of the rides on the 113th floor... I've uploaded it to

www.pironic.co.uk/stratosphere.wmv

...if anyone's interested (just to make you jealous).

If you listen closely, they're playing one of my favourite songs too

Lucky you, I'm yet to go on Nemesis and Air as I chickened out last time, and I've not been there since Rita was built.
