We've got a contestant who's handled real shows before. Surely if he can handle The 100-Second Shout-Off he can handle this... it's PAUL!

This is the starting 22...

1p
10p
50p
£1
£5
£10
£50
£100
£250
£500
£750

£1,000
£3,000
£5,000
£10,000
£20,000
£35,000
£50,000
£75,000
£100,000
£150,000
£250,000

...and then it all changes thanks to the Dulux Purpliser! There are 11 red boxes here with all the red amounts, 11 blue boxes here with all the blues, and 11 greens with percentages from 0% to 50%. That green percentage is the share of the red that gets moved to the blue.

We do that five times in all. For each application of that Dulux Purpliser, we need a red, blue, and green box selection - a different one each time. They're all numbered 1-11. Then, with that new board, we play a conventional Deal or No Deal, with predictions at each of the first three offers that will influence your Box 23 configuration. Are you ready?

Treble 5...

£1,000 to start, well that's exciting isn't it </sarcasm>

We bump up the £250... and 25% of the £1k is being redistributed. Hilariously, that leaves you with duplicate £750 and £500 boxes.

Things will get more interesting than that.

Alright, let's do those two!

Red 2... £150,000! Here we go... blue 1 is the £5... green 1? 0%. Oh.

Red 8, though... is the £250,000! And the 0% is gone, so this is certain to change your top prize... blue 2 is £100... green 8...

10%

Say hello to £225,000 and £25,100!

Two more combinations left!

Treble 3... £35,000 on the move... £10 getting a chunk of it... 30% to be exact, giving you £24,500 and £10,510 boxes!

Final set... red 9 is £10,000... blue 10 is 10p, always good to see that go up!... and green 11 is 20% to give you boxes worth £8,000 and £2,000.50!

Your ACTUAL starting board looks like this:

1p
£2,000.10
50p
£1
£5
£10,510
£50
£25,100
£500
£500
£750

£750
£3,000
£5,000
£8,000
£20,000
£24,500
£50,000
£75,000
£100,000
£150,000
£225,000

Plenty to play for... and now it's time to play for it. You have Box 9 and it is GAME TIME! Five to open, good luck!

Here we go with five sums to take off that board!

Box 2... £2,000.10. Bit less fun now, but still a good one to lose!

Box 4... £750. For emphasis, that is indeed the blue one. ;)

Box 8... 50p! No ambiguity about that or how good it is!

Box 10... £225,000! Bah. :( At least you shrunk it first, I guess?

Box 20... £10,510. Not the blue you were looking for, but it's OK.

A curious opening round, one that will make this opening offer interesting to predict on this board:

1p
£1
£5
£50
£25,100
£500
£500

£750
£3,000
£5,000
£8,000
£20,000
£24,500
£50,000
£75,000
£100,000
£150,000

The Banker says that Davey had a terrible opening round and was offered £7,000, so he asks you to bear that in mind...

Let's try an amount that means a lot to me, and I'll be interested to see if the Banker spots it ;)

PLAYER'S PREDICTION

£9,730

Interesting prediction...

BANKER'S OFFER

£7,750

...but not a great one, alas. That's a 25.55% miss, so the non-zero options on Box 23 will be divided by a number greater than 1.

BOX 23 OPTIONS
0%
44%
94%
144%
194%
294%

I don't think we need a jury here... the question at £7,750 is Deal or No Deal?

Box 1... 1p! Perfect!

Box 3... £3,000. Perfectly fine.

Box 5... £8,000. Good round!

£1
£5
£50
£25,100
£500
£500

£750
£5,000
£20,000
£24,500
£50,000
£75,000
£100,000
£150,000

The Banker says he went too low on that first offer. What will he do with the second? This could bring a +£20,000 option to 23 if you nail this...

On a round that has given me some momentum, and factoring what I can only presume is a bounce from his offer being too low..

PLAYER'S PREDICTION

£13,750

It's not a bad guess...

BANKER'S OFFER

£12,750

...exactly a grand out, which in this case equates to just under 8%, good enough for a +£12,000 to appear!

BOX 23 OPTIONS
0%
44%
94%
144%
194%
294%
+£12,000

That's a bit better there, but at £12,750... Deal or No Deal?

We'll see how interesting it looks after this lot!

Box 7... £50! That'll help...

Box 11... £100,000! Ooof...

Box 13... £50,000! Dodgy round there...

£1
£5
£25,100
£500
£500

£750
£5,000
£20,000
£24,500
£75,000
£150,000

Get within 5% here and you would remove the 0% possibility from your Box 23. The further out you are, the bigger the percentage you lose. Either way, it'll be ADD CAR coming in...

Definitely down.

Significantly after those two, particularly as the blue was first..

PLAYER'S PREDICTION

£8,000

Not an unreasonable assumption...

BANKER'S OFFER

£12,000

...but it doesn't hold up! And that means you lose the 294% :(

BOX 23 OPTIONS
0%
44%
94%
144%
194%
+£12,000
ADD CAR

Now, from 8-box onwards you'll get one offer that requires you to take Box 23, and another that requires you not to take it. If you go to the end, 23 is optional...

...as it is at this offer of £12,000. Deal or No Deal?
