A perfectly reasonable offer for this stage of the game, but no deal all the same.

Good thing you're allowed to use a calculator here, because a 7.5% band is a LOT harder to figure out than a 10% band.

Half of 15%. Which is 10% + 5%.

Or 5% + 2.5%.

Basically like you used to calculate VAT before it went to 20%; 10% + 5% + 2.5%, all doable in your head as long as you remember the numbers you're up to as you go along (Which is where I struggle with mental arithmetic)

But, yes, so nice to be able to use calculators.

4 - £5,000. Disposable, especially in this state of play...
7 - £500! This is frighteningly good...
10 - £10! I don't know how many games of this we play, but we will surely never see a 15-box as good as this one...

Yep, with a calculator all you have to do is either determine a ceiling (the top amount you think the offer could be) and multiply it by 0.925 or determine a floor (the lowest amount you think the offer could be) and multiply it by 1.075 .

I can figure out 10% bands in my head a lot faster as all you have to do is remove a decimal place from the floor/ceiling and add/subtract it from that amount.

Using £15,000 as a floor, I'd predict £16,100.

I think at that point that may as well have been an all blue round, and the worst two boxes have gone...

Even I was mislead that Stephen's prediction was the lower end of the 7.5% £15,000 pffer band.

Just goes to show how important it is to have a calculator on this version!
