I'm having to decide on the offer here, because I want the +£20,000 if I'm playing on and the half/double swap if I'm dealing!!

Given that I have that replay, I think there's the upside for playing on - especially if I add that +£20,000, giving me a one-in-three redemption shot if it comes to it, which is enough to make it a lot less scary to finish with a blue. Just as well on this board :P

So make it +£20,000, NO DEAL, and I'll go two boxes with 11 and 7.

Here's how your Box 23 roster looks now:

    DOUBLE
    +£20,000
    +£20,000

    MONEY BACK
    HALF
    NOTHING

We play on. The longer we don't need that replay, the more it is worth to you...

11 - £100,000!! Oh christ! Quick, the spoiler box, the spoiler box!

7 -
£5! Well, ANOTHER tricky choice here... Are you happy to accept the damage or are we replaying?

A replay might take out the £250k instead. No replay.

** RING **

The Banker fancies mixing things up here...

BANKER'S OFFER

BANKER'S CHALLENGE

If you decide to say Deal to this challenge, you must open one of the remaining boxes. If you find the 10p, 50p or £7.50, he will replace the £10 and your next highest blue with two more of the medium green boxes. Out of the six remaining, they contain: £2k, £4k, £7.5k, £17.5k, £23k, £26k. If however, you find the £10, £12.5k or the £250k, Box 23 will permanently leave this game...

If you refuse this offer, he will give you a cash alternative. So. Banker's Challenge, Deal or No Deal?

I had a plan, and Box 23 leaving the game would not be good for that plan. NO DEAL.

BANKER'S OFFER

Money menu here is three lots of £40k with £20k, £10k, zip. Which is annoyingly difficult to decide on.

But as I said, I have a plan. I have a 1/3 chance of keeping the £250k to 2-box, a 2/3 chance of taking it out. But because of the replay, the Banker needs that 2/3 chance to come up twice if I commit to a four-box round, meaning I have a 5/9 chance of a £250k-high 2-box. And if that doesn't come up, I then have another 1/3 chance of getting £20k anyway!

In short, I have an 8/27 chance of a crash, and a 5/9 chance of being offered a lot more than this.

NO DEAL, 9, 5, 3, 1. Replay iff I hit the £250k.

Woah!!!   What a BOLD play, I really hope it pays off...

... those four will naturally need spoiler boxes...

9 -
£10! You'd have lost out on the challenge!

5 -
£12,500! Out goes your one and only backup, but IT is STILL there...

3 -
10p!!! SO SO CLOSE!! We might not even need the replay after all?!?!

1 -
£7.50!!! YOU'VE MADE IT!! 50p plays £250,000 in one of our biggest showdowns ever...

"Well if there's one person I could trust here not to do that, it's him. He risked it at the last offer, but there's no way he'll risk this much..."

BANKER'S OFFER

£73,000

What a moment... After lots of early damage, it's a massive offer, a colossal crash to a blue, a comfortable £20k, or the jackpot... Is that offer enough to dissuade you away from the gamble?!

£20k is about what I'd look for on blue/£75k, so I think that validated the approach - I figured I might get an offer in this range, and I was more likely than not to get it, making it better than blue/£75k even before the £12.5k was thrown into the equation.

It's a huge offer, and while the 1/3 chance of salvation makes the blue a bit better than advertised, I feel like I took the calculated unorthodox risk and this is my reward. DEAL.

Hypo swap, obvs.

... but this mental game have the jackpot in store for you all along?!

Box 17 had £250,000. It did!!  Box 21 had just 50p all along!

    DOUBLE (£146,000)

    +£20,000 (£93,000)

    MONEY BACK (£73,000)
    HALF (£36,500)
    NOTHING

The rewards are evident, but so are the risks... Will you be buying Box 23 with your £73,000?

Well it could've been a £500k game if you played it perfectly, but you didn't half turn that game up to 11 when it mattered! Thanks for playing!
