Hmm. Checking that money menu again: £13,333/£21,666/£16,666/£6,666/£3,333/EL ZIPPO... EV just over £10k... if I crash it's the 1/3 salvation shot...

...if I play on, my chances of being stuck winning essentially nothing unless I bail myself out with a no-23 Deal? (1/3 * 2/3) = 2/9. That doesn't scare me much, but how big will the 2-box offer(s) really be on all-or-peanuts?

NO DEAL to both! Open 1!

We just have to hope it doesn't come to it...

50p or £1, we really don't care which, as long as it's one of them...

1 -
£1!! Excellent!!

BT...

Here are his final bids for that box right in front of you David...

BANKER'S OFFER

£11,600

OR

BANKER'S OFFER

£14,200 & NO 23

You've stuck with this terrible game and it's actually paying off very nicely... but could you get a Power 5 result from the box?

Money menu: £23.2k/£26.6k/£21.6k/£11.6k/£5.8k/EL ZIPPO. EV: about £15k?

I'm leaning towards £14,200 or taking the box. £35k MM: £70k/£50k/£45k/£35k/£17.5k/EL ZIPPO, that's barely EV+ so I'd turn it down... the £15k/£10k/£1/50p/25p/EL ZIPPO MM feels like it's worth £2.5k or so? So it's really a £2.5k/£35k finish... would I take £14,200 on that? Yes, yes I would. DEAL the £14,200!

Hypo swap for 17 if available; hypo 6 on 23.

And it's a done Deal! Magically out of this game you've salvaged £14,200...

... but we'd have brought Box 17 to the table, and would it have been the 35?

17 - £35,000! Yes it was! Your Box 6 had the measly 50p, so let's do the hypo 23!

Money Menu:

    DOUBLE (£70,000)
    +£15,000 (£50,000)
    +£10,000 (£45,000)

    MONEY BACK (£35,000)
    HALF (£17,500)
    NOTHING (£0)

What would Option 6 have spat out?

Back down to just a little above your deal!

Well, at least I carried it that far and at least I took the right Deal option when I did stop! :)

And there we have it, another relatively low-tariff game ended up paying quite handsomely after a lot of patience and bravery - David's taking home £14,200!

What will it be next time? Hopefully a huge win because the Banker hasn't been dishing out too much money lately. Join us then! :smt023
