Has anyone been watching this on C4?

Germany, Great Britian, USA, Denmark, Sweden and Ireland in 6 heats to get points, and then a final.
Great Britian are last in the pounts atm. We're just not getting any luck.

Devilfish is the captain, and he did crap in his heat. Playing every hand, even a 2-3.
Uhhh, some guy I saw on the European Open, but forgotten his name. He's really good. The only other one I can remember is Joe Beevers who won his heat, with some great play!

I have been less than impressed with Devilfish lately.
You are right, he has been playing too many hands, and not laying down hands when he is beaten.
He based his TV reputation on winning the first season of Late Night Poker, and hasn't lived up to it of late.

The funny thing is, his heat table was full of Internet qualifyers, and in his pre-match interview, he was being really arrogant about them, and he was the first out!
What tournement was the first late night poker?

There was a C4 tournament called Late Night Poker that ran for six seasons. It is were all the TV poker you see now began, as it was the first show to use under the table cameras.

Yes Ram did very well, also a mention to Beevers, he got the ball rolling in heat 5. The Devilfish played a bit better tonight and a great call against Ireland with the Ace-6.

I saw the final last night, it was good stuff. Very gripping.

Though I must say that I prefer it when there's celebrities or amateurs playing on TV though, it's good fun to watch them trying to keep a straight face. And to quote Frank Skinner:

"Poker face? I would given half the chance"

Right, that was an inspired call. One of those situations were when you make the call you can either look like a hero or a complete idiot.

Mad Marty the referee just had a right go at Develfish, cos Ulliot was telling guest player Alan Ball how to play his game, and just wouldn't shut up. And at one point when he wasn't in a pot, he lent over to try and catch a sight of the German guys hand sat next to him! I dunno if he's high on magic mushrooms or just a prat. Disgusting play IMO.
