I like BGT apart from the fact that the judges in their wisdom choose acts that are soooooooo bad (the organist tonight and the larger lady who was dancing to Toxic by Britney Spears in a rather tacky bra and top that didn't look right) for the sole purpose of embarrasing them in front of a live theatre audience and 10 million viewers.

There are probably 4/5 acts who deserved to be in the semi-finals that never got a chance.

I think the treatment thatthe piano man got was absolutely appalling, its not right for someone to be constantly booed like that. and shame on the judges for picking him when they knew that would probably happen.

I agree that he wasn't great, but he didn't deserve that treatment, and good on him that he took it so well

I think probably the right two acts went through there. It's good to see non-singing acts in the final otherwise it's just the same as the X Factor. For that reason I think they should really have excluded singers from the contest, as they're so well catered for elsewhere, but as somebody said before that's where the money is in terms of album sales etc. so Simon Cowell was never going to do that.

Last year i was at the live show when the woman with the warts on her face was there and they made us boo, she got treated really badly but they loved it, told us to ham it up even more.

Exactly, I'd love to see one of them guys in the audience perform in front of everyone and make a fool of themselves.

The Cheeky Monkeys are actualyl fairly good. Not winning material though. I'm not keen on that woman though. I was cringing...

Flava should've got through. :(
The cheeky monkeys were good, but I still think Flava had more talent then they did. Oh well, good luck to them in the final. :)

The way the judges vote at the end always seems fixed so that it's a split 1 - 1 vote and the final judge has to make the all important deciding vote. I'm guessing to try and make it seem more tense. Yesterday Amanda had the deciding vote and today it was Simon. I wonder if it'll be Piers' turn tommorow.

Last year all 3 judges had a deciding vote.
Although back then there were only 3 semi-finals... this year there are 5 of them.

what Mike meant was, they all get asked what act they want to go through, but the first 2 to choose always pick differently leaving it 1 vote each, meaning the 3rd judge has to make the deciding vote.

Just that so far on monday amanda was the 3rd to pick, then Simon yesterday was the 3rd

Yep, if you watch they have a quick chat before making the 'decision', all designed to make it good TV.

I cant understand why one crap act has been allowed into each semi-final, just so everyone can boo them and laugh at them. Its harsh on the fairly decent acts that didnt quite make the semis.
