Has anyone else been watching this?! I think it's in its third series now and it's on ITV1 every Monday at 9pm. This series seems to be the funniest yet! Martin Clunes is a very good actor and he has the facial expressions of the rather abrupt "Doc Martin" down to a tee... very good stuff!!

Last nights was good - that new age family with the bratty kid and the dead badger are great new characters!

Haha yes, I think what made me laugh about the badger thing so much was Doc Martin's "WTF?" faces...

Also when he was speaking to the old woman with the cough about the dangers of smoking...

Old woman: I want to smoke, it's the only thing I have left in life.
Doc Martin: You keep smoking, you won't have a life.

Old woman: My mum smoked until she was 93.
Doc Martin: Then she died.
Old woman: No, she lost her pipe.

Oh and I think the first series was in September 2004, second in September 2005, a one-off Christmas special in 2006, and then this third series now.

I have to say the Christmas 2006 special was rather boring and dragged out as it lasted 2 hours if I remember correctly and wasn't that funny :? ... but this series seems to be really good so far!

I was shocked when Doc Martin carried the dog (wrapped in the newspaper) into the hotel with the dog's owner in there! And when he got his aunty to hold the dog, surely she'd have realised it was a dead body because it'd have been warm? Still, I suppose it took him guts to admit to the woman that he had run her dog over!

And why was that young bloke shagging Martin's aunty?!

Good episode to start the series off - full of lots of funny moments and of course Doc Martin being his usual grumpy self. :-D
