Fyi, the first round of Week 8 will be posted immediately after Week 7 ends. It will last 48 hours (so the rest of the week will still be normal). The reason for this is that I'll be at Cedar Point (an amusement park) all day Saturday and probably won't be back until 10-11 p.m. my time, which is 3-4 a.m. UK time.

On a related note, what has happened to box11? He is supposed to be next week's guest banker but hasn't participated in the past few weeks of games. I might need to have Archstered jump up a week in the queue if box11 doesn't show up soon.

Well, well, well, not the perfect round, but pretty close to it. Had it been the perfect round, I would've offered £40,000, which means everyone who predicted the offer will be/would've been considering 1.5 times the base offer. I am now prepared to offer for box 1:

Banker's offer:

£18,000

This means Joel Davies will be considering £27,000, and Skyline, Archstered & KP would've been considering that had they not dealt. Remember, those who have not posted yet can still join in and negotiate this offer with me via PM.

For the record, I've been kept up to date on this week's game in my absence from the forum; I have actually declined every offer, as well as that being my default decision through not posting.

With these guest bankers I keep forgetting to point out that the swap is guaranteed. I'll presume daniel123 is not swapping, though.

With only one person vying for the box's contents, we shall see whether said person has beaten all of you out for a bona fide banker spanking...

Nope!

Overall results will be edited in later. For now, you can peruse the thread to gauge how everyone did.

Interesting twist this week ACB, without it, I would have won £12K less, not a power 5 and not a BS...

Anybody negotiate?

Serves you right for not participating in the twist, daniel123. :P

Anyway, here is the negotiation stuff, which was overlooked by most in an attempt to chase an offer bonus:

Negotiation stuff
Original offers (for reference)
17-box: £13,000
14-box: £17,000
11-box: £26,000
8-box: £4,000
5-box: £10,000
2-box: £18,000

Max negotiable offers
17-box: £16,000
14-box: £25,999
11-box: £31,999
8-box: £6,000
5-box: £12,500
2-box: £23,000

The negotiations
17-box (max-negotiable: £16,000)
daniel123: £20,500 (failed; offer reduced to £10,800)

Also, to make sure things were completely fair, I sent Saperogo the maximum negotiable offers and the next offer should perfect round ensue immediately after I posted the offer on here. I very much enjoyed being the guest banker and look forward to doing it again.

I enjoyed having you as guest banker, though in fairness you're only the second one I've been partnered with. :smt023

I also can verify that ACB is telling the truth with regards to keeping me informed of max negotiable offers and perfect round offers. All is fair.

I'm probably going to mess something up between all the multiplied offers, so please correct me if I'm wrong somewhere. I'm not considering things like Archstered's x1.5 offer as a factor for players not named Archstered, to be clear.

Final results
£39,000 (OPW): Archstered
£27,000 (OPW): JoelDavies
£20,000 (TPW): Skyline
£15,000 (TPW): KP
£3,000 (OBW): daniel123

Deal-Eye analysis for American Coupon Boy:

Player spankings (# OBWs + OPLs)

2: box11, JoelDavies, KP

Thanks to American Coupon Boy for being guest banker! I especially liked how he PM'd me with what he was going to offer for the perfect round and what the max possible negotiation would be. I'm not sure I'm fond of the offer prediction twist as it led to some insane offers that led to incredibly easy deals, but he was the banker and was allowed to offer whatever he saw fit. At the very least, kudos for experimenting with a unique twist! :smt023
