Well, this is rather difficult. I can't think of any more references for now, so I'll get down to business.

Last offer wasn't brilliant; this one will be, I assure you. You WILL find that £250,000 in the next round whether you deal or not - it's just a case of whether you want to crash and burn and go out with a whimper....or leave with -

Banker's offer:

£8,000

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

That's an excellent offer, Banker, but you of all people know my rule with dealing the 3rd offer, so NO DEAL.

To confirm, since I missed this, did ACB actually post Deal? Because the first decision counts...

No, some nonsense messing around, David. Totally should be kept off the thread, trying to play a respectable game here.

Round 4

In live play:
American Coupon Boy
Archstered
hogwild94
JoelDavies

Well, at least this is fairly clear-cut already.

17 - 1p! That's that out of the way!
18 - 50p! Oh, wow...

...last week, I had to deal with a 1/336 perfect order round. This one would be a 1/990, but it's only 1/9 from here...

...

6 - £15,000. Well, if there was ever a good time to hit the second-highest box left at 9-box, we may have found it.

Gah, flipping board image didn't work. But here is your 8-box:

£5
£10
£100
£500

£1,000
£3,000
£5,000
£250,000

Daniel, you have two jobs. 1) Don't pretend a contestant has done something they haven't; 2) Make an offer that may induce a Deal on this configuration.

OK, I'll readily admit I was wrong to mess around with ACB there. I knew it might be received harshly, and not in the nature that I meant it in, but I can't influence people's opinions of what I do. So yeah, I made a mistake there. Sorry. :smt023

Moving on, and this is an interesting 8-box. I don't have much, if anything really, to say. Other than -

Banker's offer:

£10,000

I reckon we could have negotiations going on... BUT The £250K is still there...

No Deal!

Without any significant backup, you need to keep the £250k in play to 5 box to be in a prime negotiation position, and because odds are it will stay, NO DEAL.

Round 5

In live play:
American Coupon Boy
Archstered
hogwild94

Dealt at 8-box:
JoelDavies

Joel's calling for a crash. Not so our intrepid ACB/Archstered combo. And I've not heard anything from Daniel about what Hogwild did, so it looks like he's in too. Who's gonna get lucky (not in the Daft Punk way)?

2 - £5! Banker's Power 5 threat - gone.
14 - £250,000!

Joel gets lucky. But we've come too far...

13 - £3,000. I suppose we have to add some volatility to this 5-box...

Image

And switching 2013 musical references, we now get the call from Daniel in the den. First person who gets the reference to this gets an extra negotiation for next week!

Hmm. Those in live play were unfortunate to hit the £250k there, but I do now have several scalps to my name. I told you to deal that fourth offer, it was a good one too....shame, regret, guilt - you should have been A LOT LESS BRAVE!!!! :x :x :x :x

I, however, am going to be fair throughout, as I have been. I'm here to give you offers to seriously consider.

In this situation, I offer you your last chance to get out of here with something, that something being -

Banker's offer:

£950

I don't want to win another blue, and I negotiated a RED offer which is generous for this configuration, so DEAL.

Round 6
In live play:
Archstered
hogwild94

Dealt at 8-box:
JoelDavies

Dealt at 5-box:
American Coupon Boy

Infuriatingly, my Dilan game crashed here, so this last round was done in Excel...

12 - £500. Common component of the best and worst rounds...
11 - £5,000! That's the worst...
15 - £1,000! And so it is.

£10 vs £100, then. Do I want any of the cheesy nibbles from Daniel's den?
