What a configuration. I think the Banker will appreciate that he's got an opponent who'll seriously consider both options here.

Such an unbalanced board.. He really is unsure about what to do here! He doesn't know whether he should just offer you 10k to get you out, or, if he should be cheeky with the offer and try his luck..

BANKER'S OFFER

£7,700

He's gone in the middle..

I can't remember the last time I saw a 5-box that was this weird to evaluate.

£7,700 would obviously go on 23. It'd give me outcomes of £87.7k/£15.4k/£7.7k/£3.85k/£2.7k/EL ZIPPO, About a £19k average on that, and I'd probably value it in the low teens. 1/6 chance of £80k with peanuts the only other outcomes? Is probably about as valuable as a £100k/blues 5-box. And in isolation, that's probably about £7k.

But then I can't really call those four low numbers the equivalent of £7k, they're actually lottery tickets. If I play on, I've got a 60% crash chance, but then a 1/6 chance of being bailed out of it. Funnily enough, that means it's exactly 50-50 that I crash. Can I handle a 50% crash chance?

When even the safe option still has a 1/6 disaster chance (and only a 50% chance of being as much as £4k!), yes, yes I can. NO DEAL!

5, 3, 1.

Well it might not be rewarded but it's safe to say if that wheel came earlier the offer would've been bigger :P

He wasn't planning on doing this, but because you had the great luck on the wheel then the superbly bad luck with the £220k going in the next box, he would like you to leave with *something*..

 BANKER'S OFFER

£10 & BOX 23

OR

BANKER'S OFFER

£5,000 & NO 23

Clearly I'm not taking the £10 to Box 23 :P

Is a 1/6 chance of £80k worth more than £5k? I hinted earlier that it might be, but I got confused. Wasn't even an intentional bluff and it got called :smt046

It's more like a £50k/blues 5-box. That is indeed worth about £5k, and I'm going to DEAL.

(Option 4 for the hypo-23.)

It was never a big money game where offers were concerned, but that doesn't mean it wasn't full with drama! Until the next one, game 399, see ya!
