A £5k win would become one of £10k/£35k/£5k/£2.5k/zip. That £35k has a 1/3 chance of becoming £70k, so I think it should be treated at a face value of more like £45k. If you gave me a 0/£2.5k/£5k/£10k/£45k 5-box and no 2-box offer guaranteed, I'd want £10k to be sure, maybe a bit less. So my "£5k" is really a £9k box.

If I win £40k, then that's got a 1/3 chance of becoming £80k, so its "real" value is at least £50k.

Would I take £20k on a £10k/£50k finish? No, no I would not. Would I put £20k on that 23? £40k/£50k/£20k/£10k/zip, bump up those top two to make it effectively £50k/£60k/£20k/£10k/zip... that configuration might be worth more than £20k, but it's worth less than a £10k/£50k finish. NO DEAL!
