Rachel's game today.

Noel welcomes us to the Dream Factory in Love Week, and hopes that today's contestant can use the Love Medallion wisely as it can certainly change the shape of their game.

Rachel has box 1 today. Rachel is from Cheltenham and works for an organisation that helps students find university places... Rachel has her husband and brother Noel in the audience for support today. Rachel's brother Noel shares the same birthday as Noel :P Noel goes up to give him a kiss :-D Rachel tells a story of how she met her husband...

Rachel shows us a picture of her son Leon and tells us how she had problems choosing his name, and went for her brother's name Noel backwards :D

Rachel gives her heart to Bing with box 11 today...

Here we go...

I wouldn't gave the heart to Bing, given her box amount record.

Yes.

Good luck Rachel.

No, Earth.

I'm not watching it on my PC because...

a) It's a laptop.
b) I don't watch the show, so use the commentary to keep up with the game.

The commentaries are also useful for future reference wether that be because we don't save every game on our computer or to relook on an interesting debate!

Oh dear, now the target is let out of the bag we can be sure of psychological games and an early deal. :(

Meh, well done for getting that far Rachel, enjoy the £4,000.

Not good! A big banker win today, even if mathematically by only £6,000 it was still a disappointing game.

She gave it her best though, so well done! :D

Now, I don't know any spoilers regarding tomorrow's game and who plays, but surely a big female character will play; Georgina last year and Helen the year before.

The only one I can think of given the circumstances is Bing - but if she does play tomorrow, will we finally get the big game we've been so overdue for?!?!?!?!?

Unless of course, a new strategy will be used, and a MALE will play on Valentine's - I guess we'll see tomorrow! All I know is that as Noel said at the end of the show, I know I'll be watching! :D

Totally agree Kes. Although it's possible but you would have to save up every week for over a year and not spend a single penny on anything. I assume lathebault hasn't experienced it.

I'm not upset about the game but I'm upset about the highest amount of money won in 2008 was 42,000 pounds. Look at these stats.

2008 2007
400,000 1,000,000

But as the lovely Sarah B said we've got mega money coming our way

At least you are being patient from your last sentence. You can't really compare results to last year on a format using luck, chance and banker/contestant trends.

My dad is unable to work due to awfully bad arthritis (sp) and after the bills and cheap food is bought, he has NO money for himself. It's not the fact that he can't get a job, because he can... he worked for a small woodwork company... but had to give it up when he was ill. He should be recieving less IatheBault if he is saving that much a year and it should go to people who really need it.

I appreciate that it would be unlikely for everyone to be able to save nearly 3 grand on the dole but surely 2 grand can't be so much money it is unbelivable. When I was 16 and just left school I was earning 15 grand a year

A very unlucky game, all in all - don't think she made a single bad decision either , it's not often you see 4k get offered on 10k/peanuts! She'd have probably won 10k had she either left the £500 which at that stage would have been a not-bad consolation, or been offered around the 2k you've come to expect on that finish!

A slow-motion almost-trainwreck!

Not the greatest game. I liked Rachel during this game but hadn't really took a shine to her during her time in the wings.

Oh well, theres bound to be an awesome win soon...

Posted: Wed Feb 13, 2008 21:31
An average show really. My initial thought about Rachel was "Who?" unfortunately - as I'd not noticed her at all on the wings. :?

I think the best things about the show today were the superb performance of George and Reg again - and also Rachel's brother being called Noel and sharing the same birthday as Noel!

Let's hope we can have the heart put to good use in a big money game.

Posted: Wed Feb 13, 2008 21:56
An average show today. Rachel was a nice girl and she played the game well, she was also quite quick at answering the question as well.

All the games this week so far have had big runs of blues/reds in a row.

It's just annoying that we can never seem to get to the really big money as of late and anytime we are close to a big offer the key amounts end up being found.

I think the heart twist so far this week has made for some interesting moments and the fact for the last 2 days the Banker has started saying what he'll offer if you find one of the low numbers has given the players something else to think about as well.

I know quite a few people are getting increasingly frustrated with these average wins, but SURELY the corner is about to be reached...

Et aussi people are getting annoyed by these increasingly ridiculous comments.

I appreciate that it would be unlikely for everyone to be able to save nearly 3 grand on the dole but surely 2 grand can't be so much money it is unbelivable. When I was 16 and just left school I was earning 15 grand a year
is this topic about Rachel or the dole please put a sock in it for pitys sake.

Again a game where she didn't do much wrong. I don't think I would have dealt any of those. In fact the love heart twist means that we are unlikely to get a deal before 8 box because I can't see anyone dealing before using it and using at before 8 box isn't the most tactical use of it.

A contender for the most painful red win of all time? It's certainly top-25 I think!

I'd have done precisely the same too...

we do have tv,s you know

I don't, I rely on the commentary to keep up with the game.

Same here. I've been relying solely on commentaries since around mid December, and have no intention of turning my TV on at 4:15, ever again. Basically, I got bored of DoND on TV so I read the commentaries instead.

Anyway Welldone Rachel on however much you won.
