Which DOND show did you rate as the best or most memorable from April?

There's lots of very different candidates - from Kirsty and Hilary's big wins to two more members of the 1p club. April saw some big characters play the game as well, and ended up with Massimo's unique "dropped box" game, so plenty of memorable shows to choose from.

April certainly has been a memorable month - I think Kirsty's game pips it as the best one, but JT's was exceptionally exciting as well. Fad and Dave became the newest members of the most exclusive gentleman's club in Britain, Clare had a tearjerker, Hilary finally beat the Banker at his own game, and Massimo's show will go down in DoND folklore for all the wrong reasons. Where will it end...? :o  Great entertainment though! :P

(And who could forget Gary's show for raw emotion...Brilliant!)

Had to vote for Kirsty's, not just for ther big 3 ending, but also because she seemed such a nice, friendly person who deserved to win big.

I wonder what May will bring... :D

Note: Massimo won £7,400.

Has to be Gary's game for me... soooo emotional.

It has been a great month... all those shows mentioned were fantastic in so many different ways.

That was a trickier decision than I thought. So many memorable games! Was predictable and went for Kirsty's in the end though.

Thanks - unfortunately can't edit the poll options now! Still, don't suppose the extra £200 will make too much difference to the voting!

It has been an eventful month, there's a number of great shows that didn't even make the cut for this poll. Hopefully May is just as dramatic but with a higher rate of positive outcomes - without posting any actual spoilers I think there could be at least a couple of classics coming very soon.

Probably Fadil's, just because it had such a great ending (well, not for him!) and I was thinking "Oh my God..." while it was all going on.

But I really liked some of the rest as well - Kirsty's was similarly amazing (but for the right reasons this time!), Pat G's was hilarious, Clare's was the most emotional, and Hilary's was a fantastic victory (probably more so than Kirsty, even though Kirsty won more, as Hilary took a much bigger gamble).

Definately Kirstys game which seems like ages ago now. That ending was amazing and we can only hope we get another one like it soon

I'd have to say I enjoyed watching Kirsty's the most, and that's the criteria I went for. I haven't been as excited since Jenni's game back in November, because it was nerve-wracking and nail-biting and that is what separates this Deal or No Deal from everything else. However, I loved watching JT and Gary's game.

Hard not to vote for Kirsty's in all honesty. I screamed and screamed at the TV all the way through, earning the wrath of Mum in the process, and was begging her to swap the box at the end - even though I hadn't heard any spoilers (and in hindsight, should have judged from that that it wasn't the £250k game!) I gathered that the £125k offer could only be vindicated if she had £75k...

Of the others:

* JT's game was a cracker - the last of the run of spectacularly strong boards we had in that run towards Easter, and revealing his exit fee wasn't the mistake it might have been. If anything, it helped him, because he might have been taken out earlier otherwise for a lot less.

* Pat G's game was deranged. Must admit I wasn't so keen on her song, but her spectacular bluffing reaped remarkable rewards in the end - and she's one of the very few contestants to cause the Banker to make a genuine mistake.

* Fadil's game was right up there with any for entertainment and comedy... until the Banker ruined it all with that £7,200 final offer. It was obvious he was up for a gamble, £7,200 wasn't going to do it, offering nearer £10,000 would have been both sensible for him and created an even more dramatic ending.

* Gary's game... messed with my mind. I believed his claim about the £30,000, sided with the Banker throughout, cheered at his bad start, groaned as blue after blue went, cheered when he kept the £250,000 after the deal, and then felt duped when I realised he'd bluffed through the entire show.

* Clare's game was a textbook example of the show's potential for agony, though seeing as I consider myself a bit of an environmentalist *turns one light off* and she wanted a gas-guzzler I found it hard to root for her. That's just me, though, and I'm sure most people felt a lot more sorry for her painful finish.

* Dave E's game was... well, I'll say this. If Fadil's game was the natural successor to Trevor's - a succession of ludicrously low offers creating an ending that left a very bitter taste in the mouth - this was the natural successor to Nick's, a remarkable tale of an astonishing turnaround the wrong way round from the third offer onwards leading to a gloriously tragi-comic ending. £500 on the LTL made it even funnier - the cheapest episode physically possible.

* Hilary's game is my second choice, and not because of being the second-biggest win. The significance of this game is going to be felt for weeks. Why? Because in one fell swoop, Hilary wrecked the Banker's recent strategy of ludicrously low offers near the end. One game like that will cancel out multiple disasters in terms of what the Banker has to pay out.
(Of course, now I've written this, episodes already recorded that I don't know the outcome of will prove this comment to be totally wrong!)

* Massimo's game won't be forgotten either. Amidst the chaos of Box 4 (and the insight into the procedures of this game, which I for one have been extremely concerned about) was a very interesting game, with a great start that turned ugly before an eventual quiet ending.

JT for me but only just...

It has to be said this month has produced some of the finest games I found it really difficult to vote.

The top five for me were:

5 - Fadil - Because of the result, you could say it was exactly the opposite of Hilary's....he had some really bad unfortunate offers throughout and there was so much entertainment from him, such a lively character and he didn't seem to disappointed even though he went home with just 1p

4 - Gary - Just like Fadil he was a right character throughout his game and when he in the west wing, he was fortunate to have a great board throughout and his statement at the end was magnificent, I was gripped completely throughout that.

3 - Kirsty - Almost certainly would have been number one if 250k was in her box but that doesn't take anything away from the drama it produced, was so close to DoND history and it couldn't happen more than to a nicer contestant, I liked Kirsty quite a lot!, and £75,000 was an excellent result regardless of how much she could have won in the end.

2 - Hilary - Again it was gripping to watch at the final round, you could say it was like Fadil's game but exactly the opposite, however unlike Fadil had some good offers throughout probably because she kept the high numbers mostly but when the 100k went the banker but her in a comprimising position that was quite literally painful to watch

1 - JT - A terrific player and contestant, this is the top game for me just...because it produced the best possible result at the time, JT beat the banker so brilliantly and the atmosphere was totally terrific, and an excellent and generous contestant too for keeping his promise to Lucy, and even though he didn't go home with a higher amount than Hilary or Kirsty, he deserved fully to go away with £39,000!

Honourable mention towards Massimo's game as well because of the circumstances, it was really sad to see him go with £7,400 especially after all that happened.

It's really tough to decide which one was the best, and excuse me for the rather ironic line especially in the case of Dave and Fadil but for entertainment value they're all big winners!

Ian

My decision may have been a result of the many spoilers posted here, there and everywhere but for me Hilary's game was more exciting than Kirsty's simply because it never looked like she'd win the big money - and then she did. Great stuff.
