"But first we need to choose one of these 8 blocks of 24 people to see who is taking to today's briefcases. Let's begin the randomiser."

Everyone in Block 2 jump up and scream. "Tonight, one person in Block 2 could walk home with two and a half million euros," and they scream again... "Okay, we have 24 purple briefcases here, and this decides who plays. Inside these cases are values ranging from €10.000 to €400.000. You will be randomly assigned a briefcase, and when everyone has one, I'd like you all to open the cases up."

After about 15 seconds, everyone has a case, and they reveal their values.



"Now the big case in the middle also contains a value from ten thousand to four hundred thousand. Our lovely model will reveal the value, and the 4 people whose case values are nearest will advance to Round 2. Open the case please Lydia."

"Okay David, let's go up to this podium, and let's begin the game, Deal or No Deal! You'll be back right after this adbreak, don't go away!"

"Welcome back to Deal or No Deal, where we just gave out over €200.000 for the sake of it. But now, David here has to work incredibly hard to get a huge €2.500.000!"

"That's in one of those cases, and so are the rest of these amounts."



"Remember your joker? Now that values as a joker. Inside the oker case, you will see the word 'JOKER' on a purple background. So yeah, basically, those 24 values of money, in 24 briefcases. Now you get to own one of these briefcases, and you may take home it's value. So decide, which, of these 24 cases, you would like to select."
"I'll select Case 19 please!"

Lydia (the model) brings down Case 19 and is handed to Alan who places it on the little stand next to David.



"Okay. What happens now is, we open these other briefcases one by one. Whatever values we see in those case, won't be in your case. So first, I'd like you to decide 6 briefcases to open and remove from the game, before we advance further."
"Okay then, well, I'll go for 5... 2, 9, 1... erm... 5, 2, 9, 1... 6 and 8."
"Alright, we'll get our Block 2 members to open those briefcases and we will see the contents."

"We're now going to receive a cash offer from the bank, to buy your briefcase number 19 from you, which could contain one cent or two point five million euros."

Applause, and a wireless phone rings. Alan answers the phone.

"Your first offer to go home now is €65.000 and leave your case. You will not win the value of that case if you say DEAL. Saying NO DEAL means you go on and open another 5 briefcases, and hopefully receive a higher bank offer. That's the thing with this game. You need to take the bank for as much as you can, or as much as you think you can. So, the question, is Deal or No Deal?"
"A good bank offer, but it's early days, No Deal!"

Applause

"As I said, we need to open 5 more cases. Select 5 more cases please."
"21... 15... 23, 18 and 11 now please."
"Let's see their values now..."

Some laughs, and Alan chuckles.

"I'm going to go for 13 and 14."
"Right next to each other. Okay, let's see blue values... please. We must see blue values."

Theresa says, "don't matter about me, you go ahead and take your three hundred!"

Applause, abnd Alan shakes David's hand.
"And David walks home with €300.000. Let's see what his Case 19 held though..."

Groans around the studio.
"David, you could've gone home with four hundred thousand euros... you missed out on a possible €100.000. How do you feel?"
"A little gutted, but ecstatic!"
"Great to hear, good man. Let's open the other briefcases to show everything is legit."
