I thought £20,000 would have been a fairer offer, but a good deal
by Sophie as it turned out!
Well done on 10K Sophie.

Noel: "We want to find the £100k to prove she did the right deal at the right time."

Surely that would have been the £20k, Noel? Logical as always. I'm not saying she should have dealt at £20k, as it was worth going on at the time, but dealing at £10k was not the right deal at the right time.

I had a feeling her box had a blue I actually guessed a £5 at 8 box yay.

Enjoy the 10 grand anyway!!

unfortunately noel doesn't follow the game and bases the game purely the proveout and the contents of the players box.
She did Ok though but should have said 15-20K for an offer.

unfortunately noel doesn't follow the game unlike some players.

She did Ok though but should have said 10-20K for an offer.

Actually this goes to my point that Noel doesn't "rub it in" or "encourage" gambling. He just plays it out and exaggerates whatever happens. I think he's simply not very good at handling the logic of the proveout. I think he gets a bit lost. His brain has just two proveout gears; both high:

"This is a glorious victory - the greatest game ever for us"
"This is a humiliating defeat - the greatest game ever for him"

It's just his hyperbole, not an attempt at influence.

of course, I just think he exaggerates sometimes when there should just be natural tension anyway. he only gets slightly carried away.

I agree. It's a radio host "dead air" fear I think. Sometimes it's really tense and I just think "shhhh Noel, no need"....

How much i HATE those stupidly high offers

Seriously? I thought the offers were absolutely *beep* abysmal today. One of the very very very few games in which I'd have turned down £20k and won a blue.

Still, Sophie was awesome...I thought she did a rubbish deal but it turned out to be right, and she was really sweet too.

Sophie was utterly adorable. Probably one of my favourite contestants ever!!

I thought she would get an OPL after dealing but I'm glad she didn't.

Well done Sophie.

What did Sophie say to Enid after she opened her box? Something like, "I know you don't like being hugged but I don't care"?

"I know you've got a cold but I don't care". Noel mentioned Enid's cold yesterday, I think.

Good to see the BT adverts have been replaced by new ones!

Looking for something? Yes, new BT adverts and we've found them.

Well done Sophie and enjoy the money - a good show but shame there wasn't more to be won in the later stages of the game.

Well done Sophie - looked like it was a very cautious deal at the time, but she clearly didn't want to leave with nothing and it turned out it would have been another of those horrible all-blue finishes if she had carried on!

Well Done Sophie!

You played a great game. Well Played. Enjoy £10,000

Very well done!

And for the stats fans that was the very rare result of a Technical Draw (KP or daniel4389 will no doubt tell us how many of those there have been...)

I thought Sophie was really sweet today. The offers weren't very good, though.

I think that was the fourth, after Jim and John M back in February 2006, and Bearded Brian last December.
