Ah, it's not looking so healthy now.

Round 4 Stats
Boxes left: 8
Mean: £36,382.06
Offer: £20,000
Offer (%): 54.97%
Fair Deal: £10,010.77
Volatility: 6.09
Redometer: -7 (↓16)

That's a very intresting offer, the board's got worse but the average has stayed pretty much the same. I'd probably deal now.

He's giving you a second chance says Noel... Alan tells Jon that unless he is going to go all the way, the banker has now offered him a lifeline... The banker calls back and Jon answers, he tells us that the banker confirms it is a lifeline...

Jon says

DEAL

£20,000 is a lot of money but I just can't help thinking that there was so much more in this game!

Well done anyway Jon! :)

Proveout round

8 - £1,000 That would have been good says Noel

13 - £35,000

You've got to find the £250,000 says Noel

22 - £1

Banker time

Noel wonders if the £250,000 is sitting on the pound table. The banker would have been tempted to have stuck at £20,000 for the third time...

Banker would have offered

£25,500

That board is very streched and volatile now, so if he was still playing I'd predict a stick.

Round 5 Stats
Boxes left: 5
Mean: £51,011.10
Offer: £25,500
Offer (%): 49.99%
Fair Deal: £13,489.66
Volatility: 49.45
Redometer: -7 (↑↓0)

He would have stuck but to rub it in he increased it :?

The most blatant proveout lie in weeks and weeks. I'm not watching it but let me guess - Noel reacted gleefully to the suggestion that the Deal was wrong?

As it is Jon and he is a mathematical gambler, £75,500 is actually believable!

I KNEW IT! And he disappointed me because he seemed like the type of guy who would go on and win it!!

And Vicky Mann had another amount that begins in '5'

Typical really that one of the few people who recognises the danger in the £250k/Power 5 backup/peanuts final eight would have been better off being oblivious...

Think what you could have done with that if you had a little more self-belief says Noel

Jon says he would have dealt for that offer...

Noel opens box 5 and reveals £250,000

There are gasps all around the studio and Noel chips in with "You blew it BIG time"

Box 7 contains the £5

Along with Paula R, Jon is now the only person to have the £250,000 5 times.

Forget the proveout - that was an advert for gambling for those naive enough to listen to Noel, and an advert for the ITV1 dramas for those who aren't. That was excellent play from both sides in my book, the Banker making good strategic offers (in active play, anyway) and the player judging them well.

And he's won £19,999.99 more than Adam.

Noel is a liar! The £75,000 was in the boxes on Boxing Day in the rollover. Although, it is still the biggest ever (joint biggest)
