Kay tells Noel it's about having the bottle to go all the way, and she didn't want to go home with nothing...

Noel opens box 1 and reveals £35,000

Box 17 contains £20,000

Aww, no! £35,000...

Never mind Kay! £18,000 is still very nice :) It's a lot better than many others! Well done!

Still, I do think the Banker is being really horrid with the offers... :(

The deal was more understandable than yesterday's, but I still would have gone on at that 5th offer. Again, 3 boxes larger than the offer would have been the swaying factor, and she ended up with 2 of those 3 left at the end. More difficult than yesterday, with two blues still in play, but I thought it was worth the risk.

Bit of a shame, but not nearly as bad as yesterday's disappointment. Hope Kay enjoys the money. Oh, and I enjoyed the Banker's offer that nobody could guess!

''wiiiiirrred'' sorry just had to get that inn

I thought Kay would have been confident enough in her box to go all the way as she's had a history of lots of reds.

Yet again another banker victory but 18k aint bad for that horrible start she had at the begining of her game.

Daniellll ;)

It was an interesting game - I'd love Kay to have had Kathleen's board yesterday.... especially as she would definitly have swapped to 17 and we could have a new quater millonaire! :-D

BUT! The £250,000 was in box 11 yesterday so how does that work?

I had high hopes for Kay when she revealed that she was a bit of a gambler at the beginning. Yeah right.

The banker was suckered into giving generous offers and sheer greed did the rest. The dithering over £13kish at 8 box telegraphed the fact that it wouldn't take much more to get her out of the chair and total capitulation was guaranteed at 5 box with the £18k offer.

Once again a bit more courage would have been rewarded in abundance but it was a grab 'n go game and yet another opportunity squandered.

The banker must laugh himself to sleep some nights with contestants like this.

She was clearly massively affected by what happened in Steve's game, and it may be that this causes a similar reaction to Lynn's game a month or so ago.

While one of the great features in our version of the show is the way they build up characters over time in the wings and allow the group to get to know each other in the hotel (and I'm quite sure I wouldn't have retained as much interest for this long had they followed the American format) one downside is that it seems to encourage caution, as players don't want the friends they've made over the weeks to leave with nothing, and are clearly affected by previous bad games when they get in the chair.

Still, mathematically it wasn't a terrible deal, any final five with a possible blue/blue finish (and we've seen enough of those recently) is going to tempt the player to deal, and the Banker knows that.

Another Banker win! £18,000's still a lovely amount of money, though.

I thought the £12,946.20 offer was good, but I'm sure they've done that trick before.

That's 8 consecutive OBW's isn't it? What's the all-time record?

I'm pretty sure than this run of 8 is now the record! There was the last week before the summer break last year followed by Lindsay which was 7, and the second week in Feb 07 had 6!

(If you count hypo swaps then there's been a run of 11 from Betty to Christine!!)

Oh yeah, Mystic Rich swapped for the £35,000 after his deal, but as he had a blue at the time he dealt it was "officially" a TPW. (And I certainly go along with the system where the box in front of a player at the time they dealt, i.e. the box they actually "sold" to the Banker, is the one that counts.)

She should have probably have taken the risk as there was a good chance of being left with a power 5 in play at the end but the offer was fair at 85% of the mean so it wasn't an awful deal.

I meant that Kay would have swapped for the quatar million box if the board had been the same...and looking at my quote, that wasn't what I said at all...lol...Wieerrrdd...

They have done that trick once but it was ages ago. Still funny, and I think I'd have gone there myself in honesty...

They did the same trick at Rich (1)'s £5,146 offer last May.
