Very rarely does an episode of DOND leave me feeling sad, but Steve's one certainly did. I really liked Steve - a great guy with an interesting system to play the game and huge ambitions for what he wanted to do with the money - the fact he won so little when he wanted to put it to such good use is absolutely horrible.
Steve - you really are a great guy - probably one of my favourite contestants ever and I'm so upset you only won 10p - I was really willing you to get at least something out of the game when it all went wrong, but once again, there were no real dealable offers in that game and it was so horrible to see you win 10p.
Well done for keeping it together and for wanting the money for such a brilliant cause - I wish you and your wife much happiness in the future and hope you can raise the money for such a good cause.
David.
Something else I forgot to mention is that winning the 10p is probably better than winning the £10 in that context as the £10 has so many "club members" that it's got a bit of a boring amount to win - so you should take consolation from the fact that you won the "cooler" amount.
At least you have no regrets that you turned down the big money.
