Very rarely does an episode of DOND leave me feeling sad, but Steve's one certainly did. I really liked Steve - a great guy with an interesting system to play the game and huge ambitions for what he wanted to do with the money - the fact he won so little when he wanted to put it to such good use is absolutely horrible.

Steve - you really are a great guy - probably one of my favourite contestants ever and I'm so upset you only won 10p - I was really willing you to get at least something out of the game when it all went wrong, but once again, there were no real dealable offers in that game and it was so horrible to see you win 10p.

Well done for keeping it together and for wanting the money for such a brilliant cause - I wish you and your wife much happiness in the future and hope you can raise the money for such a good cause.

David.

Something else I forgot to mention is that winning the 10p is probably better than winning the £10 in that context as the £10 has so many "club members" that it's got a bit of a boring amount to win - so you should take consolation from the fact that you won the "cooler" amount. :P At least you have no regrets that you turned down the big money.

What a heartbreaker of a game today I really wanted to Steve to get a load more money because I would so love him to be able to get his lovely wife the treatment he wanted to, but sadly it didnt come off. I am sure there is something great around the corner for such a lovely couple.

Steve, you and your wife are a real inspiration, and I hope that the awareness raised from the show will raise more money for MS research than you could have won through it. The odds were against you from 8 box, but you're only sat in that chair once, and with relatively low offers you were right to go for it. I really enjoyed the humour in the early part of the show as well.

Steve, I got to know you a little bit when you were my wife (Gill)'s boss in Lichfield. So sorry you had a truly luckless game - if anyone deserved better it is you and Wendy. We had been looking forward to your game since you first appeared end of May.

Hopefully the friends and memories you'll have from the DOND experience will be some consolation - you both lit up the game that's for sure.

I felt there were no truly dealable offers and you played the game bravely without being reckless. A very depressing game ultimately but a personal game with great humour and character - surprising for a Villa fan!

Best wishes for the future Steve.

Rather unfortunate choice of username from the person above - I think we can safely say this one is just coincidence though!
