Lionel was a wonderful character - I could tell he was even from when he was on the wings (although he was a little quiet!). It's a shame his game fell apart after turning down the third offer - if only he'd dealt then!! :P

Anyway, well done Lionel and enjoy the money - one of the funniest and best shows for ages!!!

Lionel is a legend!!!

Oh yes and something else that I should mention is how he looked like 1p Trevor with a big forehead - luckily his big forehead helped him to win more than 1p Trevor!

Hahah Lionel was *beep* awesome. That fourth round was horrible - why couldn't Sarah have had it?? - but I was so glad he recovered it to get a decent sum at least. I was shouting at him to No Deal the last offer 'cos I wanted the £20k OPW but it's a good job he didn't pay any attention to me...

You can't spell Lionel without L-egend!

I officially love May 2007!

Who would have thought that Lionel could turn into this big characted from his quiet time on the wings? Reminded me of Grandad John.

And what's all this about Frazer? I don't remember him in any other game.

Well done Lionel!

I thought he might be a character but I'm not sure why I thought that! There are quite a few players who don't turn out to be characters until their game - Jim R springs to mind.

I wonder if Lionel really was quiet on the wings or whether it was down to the editing?! Same with Jim R, actually...

Lionel didn't say much on the wings, but he was an absolute legend today. I probably would have done what he did.

Noel referred to him being quiet, and Lionel seemed to agree, so I don't think it was due to the editing this time.

Lionel turned out to be a great character with a great sense of humour.
Took that shocking round with dignity and bravery and deserved so much more than the £7500 he ended up with.

At least we got to the 2 box stage, a rarity these days, with some tension and excitement. I just pray his terrible round doesn't make an already cautious group of players even more so.

Well when that happened I thought he was going away with peanuts and we'd see another week of third offer deals to follow! But luckily he recovered it to some extent, and took some decent money home.

An entertaining show and a game with a bit of tension in it for the first time in a while, well done Lionel!

Have just watched the last 3 shows back to back (Treble Deal week, anyone...?) and that was a fantastic game! Even though the win wasn't massive, there's something ultimately more satisfying about a player who has to 'work hard' for their money (well, as hard as opening boxes can be classed as); someone who goes through the mill a bit but ends up with a decent result. Doesn't do much for the health of the players I'm sure, but much more entertaining for us as viewers. Either that or I'm just a sadist or something...
