i thoguht the 20k offer was great with only 20k and 250k on the board

and then the 41k! and he turned that down!

mad game

i always find it really lucky when they dont ahve the 250k and then its the last box left.

Taking £41,000 wouldn't have been silly at all! I would have gone at £21,000.

Well done Graeme!

I have to say when Graeme first joined the wings I was neutral about him - but I warmed to him over the weeks and ended up liking him in his game!

What a truly wonderful game - I can't decide whether he was brave or foolish to no deal the £41,000 - but whatever he was it certainly paid off for him which is good! I didn't particularly want to see him no dealing £41,000 and walking away with a blue... just imagine what some people would be saying if he'd dealt at £21,000 and had gone on to have the same board and get the same offers in proveout! The forum would go into meltdown...

I think I'd have gone at the £21,000 as well... definitely at the £41,000 and definitely at the £101,000!

Thank goodness for that!

May 6th 2008: A male player whose name begins with 'G' wins £102,000...? :P

Geordie gets a second chance and wins £102,000? :) I can dream...

For what it's worth, I'd have taken £21,000 and £41,000 without a second thought, and by the £101,000... if he'd have No Dealed and won £5,000 I'd have cheered louder than at any other point in the game, because a £96,000 loss from there would have been a just ending for someone who would have proven himself (had he turned the offer down, which of course he did not) as either delusionary, unable to understand money, or both.

But hey, he got the most money available from the game, so what else can you say? Another day that would have been a trainwreck, and even though I've not heard any spoilers I'm positive we'll get one this coming week from someone inspired by Graham to disregard the value of substantial sums of money.

What an amazing game!!! (And still neither wakey nor KP is happy. :? ) Forget £41k or even £21k, I'd have had to strongly consider the £14k. :?

That was absolutely amazing. £14k would have tempted me too, but I would have probably taken £21k, and definitely £41k.

Well done Graeme!

Well done Graeme, I thought it was going to be a low win after the first six boxes, but I was about as far away as I could get!

Hush! It was far more entertaining seeing someone take a gamble like that than someone do a cowardly deal, like Kelsie or Steven. To name a few.

I'm not saying he was wrong to play it like that, I was just amazed it paid off, that's all!
I shouldn't have said it like that. It was pretty spectacular!

What a game... although I don't mind the occasional spoiler, it's always great when a huge money game comes up out of absolutely nowhere, like Claudine's a while back and now this one today!

I really thought he was going to end up with a Khanny/Julian type outcome when he turned down that £41,000 offer. At least he wasn't crazy enough to gamble the final offer in the absolute belief that he had it in his box...

Well done Graeme, incredible game. And new Colin looks like a legend in the best W1 tradition...

What a fantastic game. What a fantastic player. At last somebody with a bit of guts and what a contrast to the usual cop-outs. What courage to go on in what was a really early one box game. What a contrast to the saps that squander wonderful boards.

I really thought when he said I'm the unluckiest man on the earth that he would grab the first decent amount offered and was prepared for a crappy early deal.

Even I was wavering at £41K but having got down to the final 2 boxes I think I might have gone for it. But I was glad he dealt. He deserved a big payout after that bravery.

Graeme you are my hero mate!
