Thanks for the correction on Pat G, daniel4389. I couldn't remember for sure so I think I must have thought 'if in doubt, it must have been One Rock' because half the time it is :)

The psychology of the 1p is just freaking bizarre...

yeah like winning 10p or £1 is strangely different!
Although I might well have dealt that as the 1p club became quite stale by the time it had 6/7+ members so it was cool to win £49 and even though it was an OPL it can be laughed off because of the irony.

Not sure it is actually, I mean Geordie dealt £20 to specifically avoid winning 10p, and I think someone else (Clare, Stevie?) dealt to avoid winning a blue, even though they were high blues!

Clare said "I'm not going away with two hundred and fifty quid, I swear to God"...

I couldn't care less about the "shame" of winning 1p but it's been done so many times before that it's much cooler to deal for a random amount like Roy did! I think I'd always gamble for the 10p or 50p though...

The blues generally can get quite weird, contestants' decisions when it gets to the peanuts finishes can bear no resemblance to their normal approach! :)

yeah! Like Shed did, he no dealt a £10,000 offer then dealt £1,000 on a 1p v £3,000 finish then ironically had £3,000 in his box!

I should've gone to bed, but decided to watch Roy's game that I hadn't yet watched - and he's a legend and had a lovely game... until it went wrong!

I loved his attitude towards the game as he was honest and realistic and groaned in the right parts and cheered in the right parts! He also has the same mannerisms and attitude of someone I know (a lecturer), who is also linked with politics and stuff to do with councils - like Roy who is a district counsellor!

Anyway, it's a shame that the game didn't go well for Roy... I think I'd have ended up winning £100 as I probably wouldn't have dealt the £14,999 third offer (although I would've been very tempted to deal), and probably would've no dealt the last three offers.

The "DEAL £49" graphic was a rare thing to see - the last time we saw a deal in two figures was Geordie's £20 deal back in February 2006! It's a shame Roy never did get to play with the big money, as I'd have liked to have seen what he would have done if he was faced with some trickier decisions in the game.

Well done Roy on playing the game with a good attitude and well done for taking the low win so well! Enjoy the, er, £49!
