He took the game's peak offer but it was less than the box. OBW still, but the least painful form of one IMO.

Agreed, and I doubt he would have risked joining the 1p club by opening his box in that event anyway. A good deal.

£8k opening offer when youve taken out the £5k, £15k and £100,000

WHY GROANS??!!! that is the most [ridiculously] generous offer, bar £8,400, that he could make in the circumstances.

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

And Noel totally contradicts his own advice at the end of the show

(Earlier on:The £250k is gone, forget about it, move on)

End of show:Just imagine if he had kept that box until the end...I wonder what he would have done as he would have been offered the swap

A good deal from Jay, I thought, although that £15k would have tempted me. Well done!

1p vs. £35,000, AGAIN.

Shame about the £35,000. Never mind, £20,000 is still great! Well done Jay! :D

If only the £35k went instead of 10p at the end and we would've had a 1p vs. 10p final 2. Identical ending to Fadil's.

How about £8,401?

Bah, thought we were going to get the long-awaited OPW there...at least he didn't miss out on too much. I really liked Jay...glad he got a decent amount and I think I'd have done the same.

Uh oh...

How can you regret dealing at £20,000? That's a lot of money. Sure the banker can think whatever he likes, but NO contestant on DOND is beaten when they deal and have a big amount in their box.

It's because the money you win feels less when you have lost out on more, wether thats in the box, or a higher offer before/after.

However, I'd have taken £15,000 and definately £20,000. I'd have carried on at £10,000 though.

That was a good game, I think both sides played well, with the luck in the end unfortunately just favouring the banker. It was the first game in a while when the player dealt when I would have - I think the last was Nigel, and before that way back to Lisa!

Certainly no-dealing £20k wasn't worth having to gamble with 1p in the other box to get any more money out of the game - but I really did have my fingers crossed for the 1p/10p finish - that would have been the best ending ever!

The only think would be I would have a system that didn't put me in any doubt about whether to eliminate or keep your lucky numbers - that £250k in Box 6 REALLY hurt him and it showed! Doing something like what Geordie did completely takes away any regret in that department!

But well done Jay on your £20k, hope it makes a big difference for you! :)

That was a very good game - I have to say that whilst Jay may be good looking, his eyes did scare me a little!  The Action Man figure was quite funny and it was nice to see them mention it without them going OTT and talking about it every five seconds.

And the Noel Edmonds lookalike was hilarious! Get him on the show! John Culshaw has competition!

Well done Jay on the £20,000 and enjoy the money - it was a sensible point to deal at, although it's a shame that you could have had £35,000.

How many times has the £35,000 been in the final two and / or in the contestant's box this month?

I thought it was John Culshaw's version of Noel.
