Aramid. It was a spoof episode for a telethon called Comic Relief. Nan is a character of a comedian called Catherine Tate, who is famous for being very fouled mouthed.

Wow, what an amazing run of shows...Doug's huge win on Thursday, Sheran's amazing board on Friday, and now today, Nan takes out all of the power 5, deals at the first offer, and had less in her box!!

Well done on getting a fantastic £199 OPW, Nan, may the money bring you much happiness!

But seriously...OH MY GOD THAT WAS FANTASTIC. I am so happy that my prediction earlier about it being rubbish was proved dead wrong, that was really hilarious. I was gonna upload it to youtube but it was over 10 minutes long, and youtube has a ten minute limit.

By the way, does anyone know if the 22 were actors or genuine future contestants? I think they were the latter, but it'd be good to know for sure - there was a woman, that's a woman (thank you Dan) in E10 (apparently) which is a worry for some if they were real...

But that aside (and I think they might have been actors anyway), that was great! The nan normally annoys me (Georgie is the best, so glad they did her earlier) but I actually laughed at that...especially the bit where she opened her own box after Dealing.

It could have been funnier I'll admit but some bits were funny like when she said "Oh no love, I ain't got time to be sitting around playing a game for money I ain't going to win" and then when she walked off "Deal or No Deal...what a load of *beep*!" :lol:

It wasn't rubbish at all! It was brilliant, and I love Catherine Tate. She played DOND very well, and Noel didn't try and steal the limelight. Also a great to look at some (hopefully) future contestants, although they look a bit boring. Fat Stella was the best.

I've just watched this again on Youtube and it was just as funny the second time round.. some real laugh out loud moments throughout that!

especially when "Alan" opened his box to reveal £250,000 and Nan yelled "What's the f*****g matter with ya!* "You should've said no" :lol:

That was a brilliant sketch - very funny indeed!

As for whether the contestants were real or not, like I said in the other thread on this, I'd have thought they were actors, especially how the Nan insulted some of them for being fat and so on, but as someone spotted - there is a Jeannie there - who will be appearing on the East wing from Good Friday (6th April).

In her introduce yourself thread, Jeannie says she's there for a short time - so presumably fewer than 22 shows, so the Nan sketch would have been filmed between 31 January and 9 February at the latest if Jeannie was on the wings - assuming of course the Jeannie there is in fact the future contestant.
