Well done Patrick! £50,000 is fantastic!

Yeah, I was really hoping for a 1p/£250k final two with the last three boxes - mainly for the coolness factor, but also he'd have known there was absolutely no way he could have gone for it!

How many people have got to the five box stage with both 1p and £250k in play? I can think of four off the top of my head - Debbie, Julie, 1p Trevor and obviously Patrick - but I'm sure there are more.

Well, unless he got a Laura offer of course, but I doubt the Banker will make that mistake again!

Having just watched Sarah and Patrick's games back-to-back, I must admit that those two shows have been as good as anything we've had for quite some time - no frills, gimmicks or wackiness but purely a battle between player and Banker. Even Noel was contrite enough to remind Patrick that £50000 was real money...

If my DOND faith had been wavering in recent times then the past couple of days have restored my belief! Hallelujah!

That was an interesting game - I loved how they cut to a shot of Rich rubbing his hands when they were talking about Patrick rubbing his! Di's shocked face was also legendary when he dealt the £50,000 - if she was shocked at him dealing, does this mean she'll be a gambler?

Anyway, another good, player vs. banker battle - like DOND should be! So well done Patrick on your £50,000 - I thought everyone in the studio overreacted a little when your £150k offer was made and when the £250k was revealed in your box - you had already dealt at £50,000, which is a huge sum of money, by anyone's standards! Enjoy it!

Oh, I read it differently...he said "I might regret this" first, then they cut to the shocked face, which I took to mean that she thought he was going to No Deal and was shocked at that.

Although they probably edit it all anyway, and that face was actually from a completely different game...

Oh, she may have been shocked at that - but personally, I thought Patrick was going to deal and I thought she was shocked at that... but I suppose it would make sense her shocked face would be her thinking he'd no deal, but judging by the recent reckless gamblers we've had, I wouldn't be surprised at all if she was shocked at him dealing.

But yes, like you said, they probably edited it in from something totally un-related anyway.
