I think he's the only person to have won £35,000 by going to the end isn't he? Putting it alongside 50p, £100,000 and £250,000 as the board amounts only won once.

Yep, Matt is indeed the only person to win £35k by having it in his box!

If I ever get round to updating my "number of shows since each amount was won" stats page I think it will show £35,000 as the one we've waited longest for as well.

There certainly were different sound levels back then - I think the lighting was different too - the lighting effects that we have nowadays when the banker rings only occurred in the Saturday primetime episodes back then as far as I can remember... I think it started happening in every episode from the start of series (filming series) 3 (i.e. Elizabeth and Mandy's game on October 26th 2006).

Heh, it's funny watching that back...Noel goes on about how brave he was but I don't think he had much of a decision to make all game; those offers were all pathetic! These days he'd probably have been offered more than £35k by the fourth offer. :?

I really missed the 'heartbeat' effect at the end. It would have added perfect suspense!

THAT. GAME. WAS. THE. BEST.

I didn't see it the first time around so it was great to watch - and seeing all those legends again, aww, it brought back so many memories! I was shouting at the television "Look it's Marilyn...and...Cheeseman...and...Bob... and...Aaron...and...Lucy...and...JT...and...everyone!"

It was really weird watching, it was so different to how it is now, Noel had to tell the contestant's to open the boxes, it's never like that anymore.

I love the end where everyone was linking hands, that has to be one of my all time favourite moments ever...aww, that game has left me wanting to watch all the March episodes again.

I *beep* love March 2006.

Shows how rubbish the offers were (or conversely how inflated the offers are now) that Matt only got £22,500 for his halfway board. Compare that with £22K that Adrian got yesterday with only 2 of the power 5 left compared to Matt's 5.

Noel kept going on about guts - yeah right! I'd have won £35k on that game, and so would most people (well maybe Beryl wouldn't), due to the offers being so rubbish - I think the only way Matt could have avoided it was by swapping - I don't think he got a really difficult offer all game and you could tell by the amount of time he took on each decision! :)

Well not everyone would have won £35k becuase Box 4 contained just a grand ;-)
