I'm not H or Daniel but I can tell you that it was Julie that had 1p in her box and sold it for £33,000!

So did Helen (4), Gaz (2) and Mike (2). (Well, Mike sort of did, but he swapped it away at the first offer for £20k.)

Well done Mary, you played a great game that was really enjoyable to watch - very positive.

I hope you enjoy the money as much as you did the experience! :)

Can't believe that was the lowest deal this year....

But a great comedy game and a great sale of the 1p box - again the £18,008 proveout offer seemed rather high (but not as high as some have been), and I would have hoped that most would have dealt that, otherwise a gambler would have been the 10th member!

And I make that 4 times that Box 3 has had the 1p at the table - Audrey, Sally, Mary and Nick who swapped for it! 3 really is rubbish! :)

I just wish they'd kept Mary on a bit longer, I don't like it when the personalities get put on early. I was expectig Rachel and she had the quarter-million! :(

What a lovely lady Mary was! Took all the humour very well. Congratulations.

Oooh-arrr, well what can I say, me hearties? What an interesting game... I don't normally like the gimmicks used on DOND (Glenn Hugill, take note please  ) but I thought it worked in Mary's game... why? Because the gimmicks were to do with MARY herself... rather than focussing on other contestants and the audience.

She was a really good sport... what a LEGEND... why did she have to play relatively early? :( Only 20 shows! Oh well, she was a legend because she sounded like a pirate, and she was a legend because she did the first 4-figure deal in ages... and she valued the money and dealt on a mathematically unstable board... unsurprisingly, Noel tried to take her on a guilt trip of course, but she were havin' none of iiiiiit!!!

Very well done Mary, I'm so pleased FOR YOU and ooh-arr, enjoy thar moneeeeey!!!

That's one thing US DoND gets right. Most of the gimmicks relate to a player in some form - an Italian immigrant got a video linkup with the host of the Italian DoND, a guy who constantly wore a specific brand of trainers was greeted in the second half of his carryover game with both host and models wearing those trainers, fans of two different 'football' teams got offers incorporating team-specific 'dream package' type things... player-specific twists like that are the best ones. Even the time-period-specific gimmicks, or some that have come for other reasons such as to advertise other shows on the network (as with the Grease special immediately before the first episode of, effectively, the US version of Maria but casting for Grease rather than The Sound of Music) tend to come with appropriate players.

Anyway. A FOUR-FIGURE DEAL AT LAST!!! YES!!!

(If she'd taken that offer and then picked Bindya-Jeff earlier than she did, I'd still be recovering...)

I found this game a little boring to be honest but well done on avoiding the 1p club mary.
Noel dressed as a pirate was hillarious even though his parrot fell and died..... ARGH MATEY  .

Anyone notice that she had the same board as Geordie (well slightly different blues but everything else the same), when she dealt £8,008? If only she did what Geordie did in the next 3 boxes.....

I thought Geordie's £5k offer was quite decent given his previous three, but I could be wrong now! :)

Mary's game is on C4 right now if anyone missed it...looks like the "classic" repeats aren't starting until next week.

It seems like a long time since a TBW (dealing for more than the box value but for less than half the peak offer).

Think the last was Ray on January 25th...and that should have been a TPW really, I doubt the proveout offer (£31,100 on a £5/£75,000 final two) was realistic.

Shame for Mary really; unfortunate she couldn't have had more, mind you, even more of a shame for the parrot.
