I assume you mean £75k, hadn't the £750 already gone? ;-)

Well done Tim on 5K, glad your courage wasn't translated into
peanuts at the end. Also it's funny to think that you won £4,999
more than the box you swapped away at the end, which was the amount of your 1st offer. So in not taking the first offer and going to the very end,
you won £1 more for your trouble! :D

Wow, what an odd game! Preacher Tim really did get the pilgrims hyped up, and the fact that the game was going so quickly (I dunno if it was the editing or not, but Tim seemed to turn down every single offer in a matter of seconds) made me wonder if a £75k win was on our hands. Sadly it wasn't, but luckily neither was a £1 win, that's an excellent swap! Well done on the £5,000, Tim!

Really happy he got a decent amount out of it - it seems ages that we've had a good swap at the end of the game, rather than a first round swap that gets dealed for less :)

But again, I have to say that I thought the 3rd offer of £9,000 was unbelievably high for the board, it was only a few quid short of the mean, and think he should have at least considered dealing it - he seemed to be another player determined to go on to the end regardless like Dennis, and if not for the swap it would have ended up the same way but without the honour of founding a club. Paul's advice at that point was pretty spot on too, in that he wouldn't see £9k again until the two box showdown if £75k went - I still don't think he grasped how close to the mean it was though....

Another game where I would have gone at the 3rd offer!!

The 4th offer of £10,500 was relatively poor considering the intervening good round though, so I guess that's what forced him on - I would have if I'd turned down the £9k the round before.

And I think I'm beginning to sound more like KP everyday. ;-)

I feel like we're never going to see a cautious deal again. Especially when a 3rd offer that it virtually the mean is turned down.

At this rate, the banker is going to start offering above mean offers early on because no-one seems to want to take them now.

A very well done Tim - you played the game well - and whilst I don't like swaps at all and would never do one myself - I'm glad it worked FOR YOU (as Mary would say! ). Enjoy the £5k!
