I really liked Tony... it's such a shame that so often the great players go away with so little... and it's happened again in the case of Tony.
I thought the stuff at the begining with Noel throwing down the phone several times was pathetic and unnecessary - why do we need reminding of the banker's tactics from yesterday? It was like something out of a school playground the way Noel and the banker were acting at the beginning - throwing down the phone and so on.
I had to laugh at Noel going on at the end about how it's good that the 1p win happened today, as the viewer competition match play (where the viewer wins as much as the contestant in the game) is on Wednesday, and therefore because we had a 1p win on Tuesday, it is "very unlikely" there will be another one on Wednesday, and therefore the viewer is unlikely to win 1p - what a load of rubbish!
Has he forgotten about Margaret and Ian, who played in 2 consecutive shows, and won £20,000 by going to the end and having it in their box? There could be a 1p win again today... remember when we had 4 1p winners in 12 consecutive shows back in the summer?! Haha, silly Noel - it's just as likely there could be a 1p winner today!
I suppose psychologically, you'd expect there not to be another 1p winner today, but mathematically, the chances are just the same. Noel is probably saying it to boost the morale of the contestants after a depressing 1p win, and encourage people to enter the viewer's competition in today's game.
Anyway, well done Tony on playing the game - it's such a shame that it didn't pay off... but at least you have a place in the hall of fame as the 9th member of the 1p club!
All the best for the future for you and your growing family!
