Really gutted about that, I really hoped Tony would do well. As I said before, a really nice bloke who didn't deserve that :(

Oh, for *beep*'s sake...another awesome player having a *beep* game. Richard = the new Buddy. I hate Deal or No Deal. I was shouting at him to Deal £4.99 'cos that would have been awesome...although actually I think I'd have taken the second or third offer. :?

Sadly, I knew the result of this game well in advance, but it was still painful to watch.

Ah. Now i am speechless. The man who always has an opinion on everything has shut up.

Lucky man! he gets his infinite page in the DOND book and will be mentioned by noel for the next show and then he'll forget it and say that only 3 people have ever won 1p.

This isn't fair.

Someone told me way back in early January that someone wins 1p in February (thank you very much, not), but I didn't know it was gonna be Tony...he just did not have any good luck all game. Really wanted him to have a huge turnaround and keep that £35k to the end (wow, he'd have had the Fadil final two then), but...it just wasn't to be.

Really sorry about the 1p win, Tony, but the experience will last a lifetime. All the best for the future!

I was hoping Tony would have dealt at 13K to get himself in the hall of fame as the only person to deal at the 2nd offer. It was a good offer for the board but the advice from the wings was just "it's too early to go". If the offer is good enough I would advise any contestant to deal even if it was the first offer (as long as it was very high) . I thought he was going to deal until he got the wrong advice.

I was also hoping Tony would deal at £4.99 to get into the hall of fame as the lowest ever deal breaking Geordie's £20 record!

OMg poor Tony - and very mean banker to say he should not be thre as he didn;t need the money - the boat was hardly the Queen Mary 2!

However for whatever reason the banker did not like him - wonder why - he semed like a nice bloke.

Anyway despite winning 1p - Tony has someting money can't buy - a lovely family.

Pam

Well done Tony for the way you handled your game, sorry you didn't win more. At least you get into the hall of fame!

The banker saying that was just about as bad as his whole Andrew tactic yesterday. It set off a whole sour taste to the game which wasn't needed, but it got the banker his wanted result.

Towards the end of this game, i started to believe he did have the 1p in his box. Shame about the result..he seemed a really nice guy.

Unfortunate but At the 8 box stage I had a feeling we were going to have a 9th 1p club member I said to mum in the room you watch he will go all way to end he has to really to get meaningful money now.
I then said he will go in 1p club i can see it coming mum said don't be so blunt ........then that 35k went I said told you then open the box 1p I knew it.
Mum was silent. lol

Shame for him though been a young family with another on the way they just had really rotton luck it was a shame but at least your in the hall of fame Tony for the wrong reasons I know but still.

Hate to say it, but he had plenty of chances to get out with a decent sum but he chose not to take them. You can't blame it on crap offers like Trevor, Fadil, Giorgio or Sharron, or the game didn't SUDDENLY go pear shaped like Nick Connell and Sally - it was a slow collapse and he just got sucked into chasing the money!

I'd have gone by the third offer - £10k on a £50k-high board at hafway was MASSIVE - about 90% of the mean, I think he was seduced by the stablility of having 4 middle reds. And even the £5k was a big under-reaction from the banker to a terrible round (indeed so was the £10k). I guess he was committed once he reached 5 box with only £35k of any value, but I've seen a barely a grand offered with £35k and one or two high blues or low reds, not really safety nets but decent consolation prizes. Tony still could have got out with a comedy offer of over £2k, I mean hit the £35k and you're left with NOTHING - even Fadil for instance still had £3k and £750 of some value!

I am disappointed he won 1p, but it was like Dennis's game - he could have dealt for a good sum, but he chose to gamble some good offers! I still don't think he would have been offered above the highest offer even if he'd avoided the £35k, I reckon it would still have been in 4 figs. And it would have been less painful had he hit £35k first box instead of third box, but it still didn't come close to how it felt when £250k was revelead in Trevor's game.

There are also now 3 boxes that have produced 2 1p winners - 3, 6 and now 14!
