Noel says he is waiting for an evil phone call from the banker to ask what Richard will be doing with the blank cheque of £5,000.

We don't get to hear what Richard has planned for the £5,000.

What a great result after yesterday. :D
Was it acceptable for the banker to make that kind of offer at 8 box?
The banker deserved to be beaten today! :D

I suppose if we were being strictly fair, then both of the two most recent train-wreck players, Andrew and Gloria should get £2,500 each! :-D

I do think they should have asked the question though! Andrew or No Andrew. ;)

Does he have to share the 5k between other players, or do you think he will keep it to himself? I don't think anyone should judge him either way, personally. Its a lot of money.

Richard could have rightfully written the 5K cheque out to himself!
Personally I would have dealt at 8 box to help Andrew out and ensure a cast iron 25K.

No. First of all, why did he choose to make such an offer after Andrew's game, and not any of the other 60 or so contestants who've gone away with blues? I can only assume it's because of Andrew's blindness, even though he'd already repeatedly said in yesterday's game that he didn't want any special treatment. That strikes me as incredibly patronising.

It's also obviously extremely unfair to Richard himself...he'll probably now feel obliged to give that £5k to Andrew, when there's absolutely no reason why he should. If he did give it to Andrew - or anyone else, for that matter - then it's an extremely kind gesture, but he has every right to just keep it to himself.

I know some people think there've been too many complaints about the show lately, but I think today's show just summed up the overall problem of them just adding crap that detracts from the actual game. It's really left a bad taste in my mouth, despite the fact that in any other game it would have been a fantastic win.

I think Richard should give the money to Andrew - that is who it was meant for.

Personally the offers were really high - I would have gone at the £25k = £5k for Andrew - I thought it was a no brainer but I guess Richard did not agree.

Surely he would not have kept the extra £5k - it was pretty clear it was not meant for him.

Well done Richard for winning 35K and not getting
manipulated by the banker. It took courage to turn down
the offer that you did. Enjoy the money however you've
chosen how to spend it. :D
