Noel says it's painful as Daniel said he would never get this chance again, but didn't grasp it

Noel opens box 20 and reveals £250,000   OMG!!!

Box 17 contains £20,000

There is stunned silence in the whole studio, but Noel and Daniel both say that they know he made the right decision at the time for him

Wish Noel had asked if he would have dealt at £75,000

I would personally think he would have took the swap offer anyway.

Great comment from Daniel at the end:

"I can live with this decision. I could not have lived with it if I'd no-dealt and gone away with a small amount".

A lot of respect from me for him saying that. Not throwing his toys out of the pram like one contestant did in a similar situation.

It was nice to see Noel agreeing that Daniel made the right decision when he did, in his circumstances! :D

It can't be... surely it'd have been leaked?! :?

Obviously not, I wonder why this is an extended episode, then? :?

It wasn't an extended episode. :? Looks like a mistake in the schedules.

It's nice to see Daniel thinking about the money for his family, unlike John G from February 2006, who spoke about dealing at £25,000 for money for the family, then gambled on a very risky board only to win £10!

God I hated him and I think that was one of the reasons

This is why I don't consider the offers retrospectively, as it's the decision at the time that counts. :)

£24,500 is still a good amount of money, and I think is the right decision when he thinks about his family more than the chance of winning a much higher amount.

(Banker's strategy of making poor offers at the two box stage with the £250,000 in play may be paying off though, if it's discouraging players to play on at the five box stage.)

Anyway, well played, and enjoy the money Daniel. :D

Well I personally would not have dealed at the point he did - I would want at least 30k to tempt me and 75k with those final two id turn it down too since I recall morris had that Identical situation and was offered 101k so I would want a offer very similar.
But thats just me I have no just born children etc so i'd have nothing to lose and 20k would suit me fine if it didnt work out but thats me.

For him I think he made the right call but again I had a feeling it would be in his box when we got to the final 2 I thought and said to my parents "watch it be on the table AGAIN!" And it was.

Still hes happy with his 24k he took it well hes happy we all saw a good game so good result.

Enjoy the dosh!

Aw I loved that game...not the bit where he lost a *beep* of money, obviously, but I loved all the stuff Daniel said about Dealing for his family and making the right decision. And he's Welsh and called Daniel so I love him anyway.

I think I'd have taken the third offer in that game, but then not taken any of the rest if I'd still been playing. :? I'd definitely definitely have turned down £75k at the end....that was a *beep* offer.
