Noel swaps the boxes and Elton now has 18

Noel opens box 18 and reveals £1,000

Box 8 contains £10,000

That was disasterous says Noel after a good run of swaps lately.

Elton says he really enjoyed the game and he's enjoyed his time while on the show...

 If only the banker hadn't called to offer the swap, Noel seemed to be so close to opening box 8!

He deserved the 10k! :( I got annoyed when Peg didn't look too bothered about it!

At the end Dennis looked like the floor had collapsed underneath him and Bunney was straight in there with the hug - almost leaped at him.

Enjoy the 1k Elton.

oh Elton - I remember watchign your game from the green room and had to restrain myself from snatching your box back from Peg.

You so did not deserve to go away with just £1k - I know you had dreams and I am sure they will still come true. :D

I cried at the time and I am cryign now - it was not any easier second time round.

You are a top bloke and a real winner in my eyes - you were the best neighbour possible and I send you lots and lots of love. :D

Pam

It must really be upsetting for a contestant when they see someone at home win more money than them in the phone-in contest. £1,000 isn't insubstational, but Elton definately deserved more. :(

Ugh! Gutted for Elton. Had a funny feeling it was going to go pear-shaped after the first high offer, really didn't want to be proved right though.

I thought the music when Elton was doing the walk of weath seemed really strange as it was obvious that no-one in the studio could hear it as they didn't react, so for me it was neither funny or effective just all a bit erm.... odd really!!!

Ah well, enjoy £1,000 Elton, such a shame it wasn't more.

RELENTLESS bad luck Elton!

Anybody that did about 30 shows or more does not DESERVE to go home with £1,000 :x

but particularly not you :(

Nevertheless, enjoy the £1,000

Ah, that was a shame...the £10k was right in front of him and he gave it away! But £1,000 isn't to be sniffed at, so at least you won that. Very unlucky game, though.

By the way, I'm sad enough to have checked what game that was in the picture a viewer sent in (I'm a disgrace, I thought that was Donna 2 in the picture, not Hannah) and, ironically, it's Billy's game on the 25th September. Hannah has box 8 and Susannah has box 2, as they did in that game.

Well done Elton on 1K, and for playing with
courage and conviction. I wanted you to win a lot
more but at least it wasn't the £250.

It's ever the more painful when someone swaps the higher remaining amount for the lower one, rather than if they just have it originally in their box. :(

Also odd that he didn't keep his lucky number 6 till the end - at last he would have won 5k that way.

That is a bit harsh - Peg was really upset about it. She had a few high numebrs in her boxes and got to the stage where she dreaded opening them in case she messed up someones game.

She felt so bad for Elton - but it wasn't her fault.
