According to Geordie's signature on here, beat his deal and he'll buy you a beer! :-D

From memory, bad outcomes often come in twos (ie consecutive shows) - Irene and Nick, Trevor and Mike, Jim and Barbara, now Lucy and Janet...

There must be someone willing to take the lowest ever deal record from me..... !

Geordie

I almost thought Janet was going to take the £2.50 at one point.

Your record still stands Geordie.......

Well you wouldn't be able to buy yourself one with £2.50 these days!

Didn't somebody predict his yesterday? They must be psychic!

Anyway, commiserations to Janet

i didnt notice janet much when she was just opening boxes but when she played today, she came across as a really nice lady. but still a pound is nothing, but at least she made good friends out of it and had a nice experience before her game. I am still in shock as I thought Lucy and Janet would do well.

Someone needs to win the 250k and give all the players who have suffered disaster games a cut!

After these two results, I'd expect players to be more conservative in the coming days.

I'm convinced that during the first month or two of Deal or no deal the banker's offers were more generous at the latter stages than they are now. It certainly makes it more entertaining seeing contestants go on to the end, but has surely lead to more heartbreak. It is easy with hindsight, but I think the £14,000 deal should have been taken on the basis that at that stage there was an odds on 64% chance of taking out at least one of the big numbers after which the banker's offer would have been unlikely to improve very much even if the £250,000 was still in play based upon recent similar games. Janet was very unlucky though to take out the two big ones in succession. Surely Saturday must be happier!? ..... :?

Next time there's a bad outcome they will all be dreading being picked for the following day's game!

But as for the games immediately after the "pairs":

Jenni (after Irene and Nick): £26,000
Norma (after Trevor and Mike): £26,000
Matt (after Jim and Barbara): £35,000

My money's on a good result for tomorrow's player...

I had promised to do something like that if I won the £250k - write everyone on my show a cheque for £1,000 with instructions to cash it if they won less than that. That would also increase the likelihood of people playing on and thus the chances of someone else getting really big money.

It's funny to think that if the players all decided to go on to the very end and win what was in their box and then share the money around each other equally, statistically the £250,000 would get won about once every 22 shows as well as other large amounts of money, and the banker would get well and truly beaten! Don't think that would happen though even if it was allowed!!

What a fantastic gesture that would have been.

I wonder what the producers/banker would have made of that as it would certainly adjust the odds in the later stages of the games.

What you need is to have the player stand with all the others, like Matt did, and announce that "This isn't just me verses the Banker anymore, this is everyone verses the Banker!"

Oh, and Noel needs to read a list of everyone who has been screwed over by the Banker.

Then, when the 250k was revealed, you'd need the Banker to scream "Noooooooooo...." in the style of Darth Vader.

Wow, the only thing about this show that made me happy was that I predicted what would happen yesterday! OK, I said 10p, but I was only 90p off!

I liked Janet - she seemed pretty down-to-earth and took it well at the end. I'd probably have dealt at £14,000 but it would have been a tricky decision and she was *very* unlucky to have the round that she did.

The people at the start and end of each months lately seem to have unlucky games - Geordie, Tracey, Trevor, and now Janet! So I'll make another prediction...tomorrow's player will get something in the region of £10!
