Mmmm, you're the sort of *beep* that goes home with £1 aren't you.

You rock.

Well done Catherine. I was scared that you'd have no dealt the £21K. Even though it was only about an 11% chance that you would have taken out both the biggies in the last round, it was the right decision.

Plus the £1/£250,000 final 2 you had were also the same 2 that £75K winner Germaine had early on in the show's history (although he had the £250K in his box).

Nice one Catherine!!

Given that you had £1, there really was a large risk of going home with next to nothing, so you definitely did the right thing in my book, and £55k seemed on the high side for 5 box, I think something about £40k was more realistic.

You played a great game, and I hope you enjoy your £21k, and don't let some people put you off posting here! :)

Any stat experts tell me the probability of keeping the top 2 values in from 8 box to 5 box?

I know this is off-topic, but I'm really suspicious that "willyouwinbig" is banned member "wakey1512".

Anyway, enjoy the money Catherine and I'd have actually go on to the £55,000 and dealt personally, but still £21,000 is a lot of money and I am so glad you only had £1 rather than that quarter million!

well done to you Catherine.

I was glad on the final 250 / 1 quid final the banker would have offered you less than he did to Laura, or else it'd have seemed a bit weird!

enjoy the money!

(6/8 )*(5/7)*(4/6)=10/28, or approximately 36%.

As far as I'm concerned that was a 64% chance of the offer falling.

I knew it was only a 10.7% chance of complete disaster (i.e. taking them both out), but yes, I would have expected a punishment offer for one of them going, so taking the deal would be more often the right thing to do. Just so happens that everyone who has dealt in that situation has avoided both until at least the deal of 5. :(

Even Miguel and Donna had a couple of disaster-prevention lower reds, all Catherine had was the anti-red! :)

My system was random and the whole experience in that chair is surreal so who says I would have picked the same boxes if I hadn't have dealt at £21k?!?!

WOOO YOU GO GIRL! :P I thought you did brill and your game was soooooo funny :-D
