I hate this game!!!

whats the QM??

Catherine says she would have said DEAL there

Noel opens box 6 and reveals £1 :D Big cheers and relief there...

Box 20 contains the £250,000

Noel asks Catherine how she feels, she's happy but a little annoyed at herself for not going a little further...

Well done Catherine on winning £21,000, it was a very dangerous board
to have gone on at 8 box, and you were a great contestant! :D

QM - quarter-million!

Anyway, that's a big relief, and I'm glad the last offer was believable as well, I was expecting something stupid like £90k! :)

sorry i just cant stand it when people copy me.

no need to apologise of course, and anyways, the banker isnt the banker.he's three old fat buggers who in my opinion deserve to be shot, because of their offers.

im thinking of complaining to them, this is getting too silly.

Well, Catherine herself said she'd have Dealt at that point, which surely proves that it was a pretty good offer from the Banker's point of view. It's *beep* for the board, yes, but still far too much money for lots of people to risk.

Anyway, I thought Catherine was awesome! For all Noel blah blah blahs about focusing, she was really entertaining and made a great game. Towards the end, I was sure she was going to do a Sara/Donna, so it wasn't a bad result in the end.

Catherine played a great game - it is easy to be wise after th eevent but we all have to remember the pressure that each person feels when they are in the chair. It is a totally different situation from even being on the wings. :D

Okay so she cold have won £55k but equally she could have lost big time - £21,000 is a lot of money and I am delighted for her.

Well done hun - you did good girl!!!! :D

yeah but i simply can not stand it when at 5-box the offer's £55,000, and then with £250k in the final two he goes down.WHAT IS HE THINKING>??!!!!they need a replacement banker fast or i will not watch the show.

£55k seemed slightly high to me, but I could definitely see him dropping the offer in that situation if the £100k went but the £250k stayed. It would be a crap tactic long-term, as everyone would just Deal if they knew the offer was going to go down unless they hit the 10% chance of keeping both, but as a one-off it would be a good way of testing/unsettling the player (or even trying to force them on for another big win).

It's also a much bigger gamble at that stage...with five boxes left and two big ones, there's a 70% chance of keeping at least one of them and guaranteeing a decent offer. Once you get down to the last two boxes, it's obviously either one or the other, and therefore much more difficult to take the gamble.

I agree, but I don't agree with Noel that Catherine lost her focus. Anytime that you have two of the Power 5 left and 6 small amounts at the 8 box stage, you have a 64% chance of taking out at least one of the two big numbers, and when that happens you can easily chase a game that turns to peanuts. 21K is a lot to turn down with that kind of dangerous board!

Woo-Hoo!! Phil had another big number (I'm kinda surprised Noel has only mentioned it once - in Laura's game he said "you're getting a reputation"
