The offer's gone up, but the banker's chopped 5% off the percentage, making it a relative mistake to deal.

But he thinks he has to, and deals.

2 boxes left

Average: £10,000
Offer: £5,990 (highest £9,900)
Offer (%): 59.90 (highest 65.00)

Fair deal: £5,022

Aw, the woman choosing the box in the LTL was called Kirsty - Noel missed his opportunity to say, "HULLO WULLCUM" as he did to Kirsty in her game, back in April 2006. ;)

If they put the best prize in box 1 everytime in the viewers competition they could save themselves loads of money as its very rarely chosen.

My advice would be to swap for 4. But he was foolish enough to pick it :P

4 rocks. :-D

If it's as scientific as that (which it would appear to be as like you said, 1 very rarely gets chosen), wouldn't they try and put the big money in boxes 2 and 3 (like they seem to do) - surely the viewer winning a big amount will encourage people to enter the LTL in the first place? :?

I'm still a bit emotionally drained from the last game, so didn't quite feel in the mood for today's show.

Looking at the final two, I think it's okay to deal there, as he's thinking of his family when he dealt. An extra £14,000 was available to him if he swapped, though.

Anyway, enjoy £5,990, Simon. :)

They never put the big money in 3, it always has the little or middle value. 2 has it frequently, as does 1.

WHAT.A.HOTTIE. I.LOVE.HIM.

So glad he dealt, although I missed the first 40mins of his game, but I recorded the More4 repeat, so that I can look at his face any time I want.

God, I am such a strange person...

Well done Si!

Sorry I made a mistake, it's 1 and 2 that normally have the big money in - you're right! But I still think it would be avantageous for them to put the big money in the box that gets most frequently chosen - the extra amount they have to give away will no doubt be made up for by the extra number of callers calling in when they are encouraged by a high LTL win! ;)

Either that or they just do it randomly, without deliberately putting the big money in any particular box. Although I know that's a ridiculous suggestion...

I've no idea how they think to be honest. All im saying is that 1 is very rarely chosen - probably because 2 is in the middle of the 3 options and Noel always says choose 1, 2 or 3 in that order with 3 sticking in your mind the longest as its the last number to be mentioned. It'd be interesting to see how many times 1 would be chosen if he said it the other way around - "choose 3, 2 or 1" in that order.

Noel did once say "choose 1, 2 or 3, or 3, 2 or 1, or 1, 3 or 2, or 2, 3 or 1"!

I've often wondered how they do the LTL... do they put the money in randomly?

My sentiments too. It was a tough game, and played with courage and sense in the end. Well done Simon! :D

Simon didn't get very good offers, but at least he didn't win 10p.
