I'll cut and paste waht I say to wakey as the same applies here. She played the game the way she wanted to play it. She was obviously comfortable enough with her own situation to turn down the 22k offer so shouldn't be villified for that.

Isn't the whole game inherently playing on people's greed, though? The opening offer was 15k and if you were offered that tomorrow, no strings attached, wouldn't you accept it?

Oh yeah, that reminded me...yet another game in which we didn't see a swap being offered. We didn't see Ian or Jaye get one either - I'm guessing they're editing out rather than it just not happening in the first place, as Maggie was offered one. (Which they obviously had to show, as she took it.)

Yes I was thinking they were edited out.

Selavi.

Sacre bleu! Votre Français est mauvais.

Well done, Lynsey and Martin! That proposal rocked, has happened a few times on American shows (including twice on US DOND) but it was SO cool to see it happen here. Am really glad you got £20k, hope you do great things with it - and best of luck in your married life!

Yeah, in the case of a declined swap I think they are most likely to edit it out if they win the high amount, whereas if they get the low one they will leave it in to give people the impression that they had a fair chance!

Great game anyway, well done Lynsey and Martin - looks like this is Rock Week/Month on DOND!

Perhapds they edited it out of Lynsey's game to allow extra time for the proposal? And they edited it out of Jaye's game to allow extra time for the "WTF?" looks from Jaye? And they edited it out of Ian's game to allow extra time for all the fish puns?

Well, in Wrighty's introductory thread he promised that shows between now and the New Year would be 'exciting' and 'different' and that certainly applies to today! :D

Even without the proposal (to which I'm sure Lynsey mouthed 'You're not going to, are you?' when she realised what was happening... or words to that effect anyway...!), it was a good show. I'd be curious to find out if the events before the game actually helped her relax into the game a bit more - I guess most players are a little bit apprehensive beforehand anyway so having just been proposed to might actually be a very welcome distraction!

Congrats to Lynsey on marriage and good money! Very brave to go all the way. The Rock, 20K, has been in the box so many times recently, 4 times in the last 8 games no less, that you would almost think....

perish the thought! ;)
