H is right. It's Endemol get here rather than 'gets here'. There is only one Endemol after all.

Er, I said it was gets here as opposed to get here.

Why is everyone saying £105,000 was such a high offer, no it wasn't. Morris got offered £101,000 when he was still in play, when he had the £20,000 and £250,000 left. So that hypothetical offer today seemed about right. It was the £35,000 offer that shocked me.

Oops I thought she had the £15k and £250k left not £100 and £250k left!

great game and well done to Lucy.

hope you spend or save the money wisely.

i think i may have been tempted to take the 27500 offer but she was brave and got 35000.

unlucky that she didn't carry on but I think you have either got to have money in the bank or a rich family to turn down a good offer like that.

ok to some people it may not be a lot of money but to a young woman like Lucy, like she said "I'm the richest person I know", it's life enhancing, and hopefully give her a good start on life's long road.

here's hoping for an equally good game, if not better tomorrow

all the best Lucy

Lui :D

So relieved she did well, she seemed absolutely made up with 35k, though I wish she'd hit the £250k in the proveout. I think sometimes the banker makes proveout offers high enough to secure a TBW, but could have done so with anything over £70k, £105k was absolutely ridiculous! I don't think Lucy gave two hoots about the £105k! :)

I know it sounds odd, but if I had dealt on a board with one big value, and four small ones (let's face it, the £15k was almost an honorary blue by that point), I'd almost prefer the big one to be in my box than it not be but avoid it like Lucy did - as you've missed out on money whichever boxes you choose if it's in your box, rather than missing out because of the boxes you choose! (I think I know what I mean ;-) )

That 35k offer was that high that only hardened gamblers would no-deal. It was high enough that even keeping the fallback of £15k with a blue would be a disaster, so I was shouting DEAL at the TV! I was expecting it to be about half that!

Many congrats Lucy, and after Matt, the second person to win £35k after two successive trainwrecks, great turnaround! :D

Aw, she was fab! Possibly the most genuinely nice and happiest player in the chair since Amy. :D

The 105k proveout was obviously rubbish but I'll forgive him as the 35k was extremely generous in the circumstances.

Well played Lucy!
