Anyway, I did hate David J's wife for the enticement in David's decision. That was a clear cut no brainer no deal (David J's offer)

I haven't said I'd always deal.

But a situation such as Neil's, where the offer was in between the highest and second-highest values and reasonably higher than the second-highest amount (it was here), I'd almost always deal. With only one value higher, you're unlikely to end up with it still in play by the time the round is over, especially late on as it was here. Steve was unlucky that the £50k remained after he'd dealt - and you cannot deny that.

It's been said countless times before, what annoys me most about your continuous posts after a player deals and could have won more money that "Those are the consequences of dealing" or "I knew he should have dealt." We don't see you saying the same when a player deals and obtains an OPW, do we?

I think he did the right thing too. Theres no way he would have been offered an amount as high as 27k at the end there. I would say it would have been 19-20k at best.
Agreed, but we've seen a lot of that because it makes better TV when you see the reaction of the contestant at the inflated proveout offer!

And what's all this 'Steve' thing about? He was called Neil...

Dear, dear, dear.

Anyway, relevantly, I would have dealed when Steve did - obviously, should the £50k go, it's as good as over.

Well done Steve!

Not in the slightest.

There are two ways to win big:

- Going far on a very stable board, a la Kirsty; Brenda; Shirley; even Jennifer
- Gambling on a big one box game, a la Gaz; Lynne; Germaine; Mally

Naturally, I think a lot of people would go on on the first one but the latter one is the dangerous.

Well done Neil - shame the timing was slightly out, but at least it wasn't a 1p game like a fake spoiler suggested!

For that board, £9500 was a hell of an offer and only a committed gambler could have possibly carried on there.

Hope he's still on speaking terms with his good lady! :D

:? I think I would have...

I'd find it very, very hard to deal on a board like that, where the biggest value is so much bigger than the rest; even a good offer, which Neil's was, looks crap in comparison to the big value, and I'd probably be stupid and stubborn enough to carry on and try to get it. Following on from yesterday's debates, I think I'd be more disappointed to have "missed out" on the big value than to have lost the lower offer. (I'd definitely have dealt at £27k, though...not that that would ever be the real offer.)

I actually believed the £27k offer was genuine believe it or not - becuase all the earlier offers were more than I expected for the board, especially the £9,500, so it was consistently generous throughout!

I would never play with a family member/friend/partner in the audience either, I would want every decision to be purely my own. But I would have dealt when he did anyway, and was hoping that the £50k wasn't in his box, that offer was ridiculous compared to Steve's - having £5k there should not have made a difference of £8,300!

Aww, I can't belive I missed his game! All the good people play on Thursdays, and I'm never in

Plus he was bald, so he went right up in my estimations. (I dont know how to spell that, no doubt someone will correct me)

And I don't even know what a loofa is, so that joke is compleltly lost on me...

Great pics Billy! Love the expression on Neil's face on the first one!! (I keep wanting to call him Steve! :? )

Shame he went one deal too soon but it's always a dangerous no deal in that situation, especially as I think he mentioned the children wanted to go to Disneyland.
