Wow what a gambler she was. And for once a player didn't boast they were gamblers.

Respect to you Lynne. I wouldn't have gambled £22,076 with the risk of 10p!

Didn't Simone have a similar ending - except it sadly went the other way for her?

I've known Lynne all my life.
She is amazing, gutsy and a fighter!
And did you see her husband. He looked good too, didn't he?
I've read through the forum with great interest and it's fantastic that so many people are so pleased for them both, but for those that have implied that they don't need the cash or already earn enough money to take the gamble... trust me, it's not the case.
Colin was pretty grey at the beginning of the year after a series of heart attacks, they 'lost' him once but gave him a shock to bring him back to life. His recovery has been good but it wasn't nice to witness any of it. Both of them are self employed which made life a little difficult. These two have lived on an overdraft for over six years through no fault of their own. Instead of looking forward to early retirement they had to start all over again in 2000.
In January, this year, I ended up putting oil in their tank to get them through the last of the winter, filled up the fridge, the freezer and the cupboards, and worst of all, had to make sense of the endless forms they had to complete to try and get any help from our government.
They've worked hard. They've given so much to so many people all of their lifes that they deserve a something back.
I hope the £75k does as much as it can for them. I hope they grow their hair long, make friendship bracelets and travel for years!
I love them to bits but... Mum... I was shouting for you to deal!

That makes the 75k win even more deserved. Bless her. To risk going through all of that crap that they had to go through before, is sweet.
